    The Process Continues

At times we are faced with trials and tribulations that can alter our thought process. They can make us ask ourselves the question, why me? When we are faced with problems on all sides, we can easily fall into despair.

During those times we often forget who we are and whose we are. It is in that moment that the enemy wants to blind us from the realization of who we are in God’s eyes. The enemy comes as a thief to steal your hope away and to make you feel like God doesn’t care about your well-being. There is a biblical declaration concerning this found in the book of Isaiah.

So shall they fear the name of the Lord from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him.

    Isaiah 59:19

The enemy may come as a whisper of doubt, telling you it doesn’t make a difference to pray because God won't listen to you anyway. Prayer is always the answer to any problem we may face. It is our direct communication to our Lord. He hears the petitions of our prayers, even when our heart is filled with sorrow.

God hears the intent of the heart without audible words. When you are faced with trying times and moments when you feel defeated, abandoned, or even led astray, always remember that Jesus said, I will never leave nor forsake you.

We must be rooted and grounded in the Word of God, even when we can’t feel God or when we feel all alone. We must believe what the Word of God says and stand upon its truth, which is truth absolute. Our trust and confidence must be established in the Word of God.

Before you can feel a certain way, it must be first processed within the mind. Feelings are defined as an emotional perception or attitude. In difficult times the body displays the inner thoughts with outward manifestations. It is during those times that we must be mindful of what the Holy Scriptures declare about us as fellow believers.

We must perceive the foundation of who Christ is and who we are in Him. The scripture says that He is the head and we are the body. It goes on to say that all things have been placed under His feet. The feet are on the Body, which we are, so everything is under our feet. Thus nothing can overtake nor defeat us as long as we stay connected to His body.

    ACT I

I kept trying to find the right words to say in order to make this perfect. Then I realized that I can't be perfect, I can only be myself.

According to Webster’s Intermediate Dictionary, Perfection has a few interesting definitions.

❖  Perfection: the quality or state of being perfect; a perfect quality or thing; an unsurpassable degree of accuracy or excellence; the
