About this ebook
Love is a beautiful thing. If we can all practice it, our world would be a much better place. The problem has always been that we are told to love one another, but the ‘how’ part is seldom elaborated.
Mohau Ngoepe broke that down, giving readers examples so that they understand it better.
In a nutshell, we can say that love is a sacrifice. When we say Jesus loved us, it is not because of what he did for us, but rather, what he did to himself for us.
In the same way, to truly love our fellow brothers and sisters, it is required that we sacrifice ourselves. We must be willing to take a bullet for our friends, literally and figuratively.
Christ came into human flesh and empathised with our weaknesses, shortcomings, our lack of knowledge and understanding, and even our stubbornness. That is why when we crucified him, he said, “Forgive them father, for they do not know what they are doing”.
We too ought to empathise with our fellow human beings when they come short, when they differ with us, when they are hurting, when they struggle, when they are happy, and even when they afflict us. We must have the same attitude which says, “Let me forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing”. Most certainly, I can assure you that if most people who commit wrongs knew what they were doing, they would not do it.
