INTRODUCTION

My entry into the raw diet lifestyle was by accident. I had been suffering from a list of health complaints which I thought were just a normal part of the aging process –sleeplessness, fatigue, hormonal imbalance, middle age weight gain etc. I met and became friendly with a doctor who though wasn’t a rawist was an advocate of whole food consumption. She encouraged me to read as much as possible on the subject. I read books on healing with living food and began to practice what I read by consuming more and more raw meals.

That was three years ago, Now, I can’t remember the last time I got sick. I work with a great deal of energy and sleep like a baby at night. I have a balanced hormone panel, healthier skin, my mind is sound and I feel fantastic all day long. I also found out that raw foods can be incredibly delicious and diverse.

There are so many benefits of raw dieting and the changes you will get will depend on your  current health status. This is because there are people who have been eating poorly for decades and have accumulated a litany of health issues. Regardless, as you start to eat a raw diet, one of the first benefits you will see is the increase in your level of energy and better sleep at night. You will definitely look more youthful and shed any extra pounds of weight. If you give your body the correct fuel, it knows exactly what to do to get it back to optimal health.

You can use it as a cleansing or detox program by going on 3 to 21 days detox diet. You may keep up with a raw food diet but if you choose to go back to your regular diet, improve on it by eating more raw foods.
