So, it’s happened; one of your worst nightmares has come true. He’s cheated, and you finally know the truth.
You’ve probably been told that it’s better you’ve found out sooner rather than later. Or, you may have been told it’s not the end of the world because at least you now know the truth. Either way, you probably feel broken; it probably seems as if your heart will never heal and you’ll spend the rest of your days crying your eyes out, listening to sad songs on the radio. I understand and know exactly how you’re feeling.
I’ve dealt with several men who have cheated and know the pain of not knowing whether he’s being faithful. I also know the pain of finding out your man’s a cheater, the disgust you feel when you discover the truth, and maybe even the disgust at yourself for not finding out sooner. You’re probably thinking none of this will help with how bad you’re feeling right now? But — hear me out.
Regardless of the pain you’re feeling, this is NOT your fault. There’s nothing you did to cause this, so, loathing around in self-pity and feeling disgusted with yourself won’t do an ounce of good.
