Many Christians grew up with the lie that if you leave the devil alone he will leave you alone. Identify The Lie

Jesus says:

"Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it." (John 8:44)

Paul says:

"And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works." (2 Corinthians 11:14, 15)

We are all familiar with the above scriptures and know that there is no clearer description anywhere in the Bible as to who, in actual fact, is the cause of all the LIES that we are confronted with daily, or even are, ourselves, guilty of. From these scriptures we see that the FATHER OF LIES is no-one else but the devil, who POSES as an angel of light – he who is also described as follows in Revelation 12:9:

"And the great DRAGON was cast out, that old SERPENT, called the DEVIL, and SATAN, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him."

Incidentally, before I continue, I would like to ask you a question: If I have a picture, tattoo, or other image of a DRAGON, anywhere in my home, on my clothes or on my body, no matter how pretty - WHOSE image is it? No-one other than Satan! And do I really want to live with an image of satan in my home – or on my body? I just mention this in passing.

Let us continue with the things the Lord has laid on my heart to write about in this book. Right at the outset, I give all honour to Jesus Christ for what He has taught me during many counselling sessions during which the contents of this book have taken form. Therefore, I shall endeavour to reproduce this information in a practical form, to be used by God’s children. I glorify and praise His Almighty Name! May it help you, the reader, to identify the LIES in your own life as well as in the lives of others, so that everyone may be SET FREE from those LIES and can LIVE in the victory which Jesus has brought for us.

Let’s take a look at how Satan set to work from the beginning. Of course, in the same way in which he still operates today, since his methods have not changed over thousands of years. He simply uses the LIE at all times, and, because we humans keep falling for his LIES (of course in different subtle forms, as we shall read in this book) he has no need to change his way of operating. Why should he let go of his winning recipe? Only when we stop believing his LIES, will he have to let go of them, but hitherto that has not been necessary, as we have been falling for his LIES down through the ages. We keep listening to the LIE rather than to the truth of God’s Word. But where did it all start?

It started right at the beginning of the Bible, when satan told the first LIE in history to Eve.

"And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil. And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat." (Genesis 3:4-6)

What do we see very clearly in these verses, what does a LIE usually do? It ALWAYS goes directly against God’s Word.

If only we can learn to begin to IDENTIFY the LIE and to KNOW what our true authority is in Christ, then we will know how to get rid of the LIES in our lives. Please take note that there is no other way of getting rid of them, than by the authority which Christ has given us through His death on the cross. This is stated very clearly in the Bible in the following two scriptures:

"And they overcame him (satan) by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony;
