Alana Melos

ALANA MELOS is a struggling author who found out writing erotica gave her much more freedom in writing than when she wrote the "serious" literary stuff. Since this discovery, she's endeavored to write the very best interesting, weird, plot-driven, and hot erotica she can. She sincerely hopes to just entertain people, whether they read for the plot, the weird factor, or the racy factor. Along with her loving husband, she lives with a crazy cat. Possessing the mystical Janus Key and lost among a myriad of sexually savage worlds, twins Dirk and Debbie Gudgeon will do anything if only to find their way home. These are the Janus Key Chronicles.

When we last left our heroes, they had entered into a dimension which was much like their own… only set in the 70’s! The situation they found themselves in was at the end of a seance, where Debbie was mistaken as the medium, Rachel. Rachel had a boyfriend, Sean, of whom Debbie became enamored. Even though Dirk had found some information on how they might be switching dimensions, Debbie decided she wished to stay in this time and place. As she succumbed to the temptations of the flesh, her actions roused angry spirits within the house, who took savage advantage of her when she was alone. The only way Dirk could save her from the maelstrom of molesting spirits was to touch her with the Janus Key, triggering the hop to the next dimension, and crushing her hopes for what might have been a normal life.

Here is where we pick up the story….

    Chapter One

As the red faded from his vision, Dirk tried to orient himself. His surroundings were shrouded in darkness, and as his eyes adjusted to the inky blackness, he realized there were no sources of light at all. Debbie? he asked.

Yeah, I’m here, came a feminine voice, which he didn’t recognize. That wasn’t surprising though, since the mad god Janus kept changing them with every dimension they traveled through. I can’t see.

Neither can I, he said. Hold on a second, I think I might have something. With great care, he felt around his body. He was wearing a rough spun shirt--maybe a tunic of some sort--and leather pants and boots. In addition, a sword was strapped to his back, and a satchel at his side. Before he had come to rescue Debbie from the hands of the spirits who had been savaging her, he’d grabbed what supplies he’d found as well as the Janus Key. When they were flung into the next world, the things he’d had in a knapsack on his person came with him.

Dirk knew he’d had a lighter in the knapsack, but in this world it seemed to be a flint and a box of tinder. He had no torches, nor anything else to burn, so he took off his shirt and bundled it nearby. He took a little bit of the dried wood shavings from the box, and carefully stacked them in the middle of the shirt. Once he was prepared, he drew the sword from its scabbard, and drove the end into the ground in the center of the pile of wood shavings. With the flint, he made sparks against the steel until the tinder, and his shirt, caught fire. Guess I’m just never going to have a shirt anymore, he thought. The shirt wasn’t necessary, but the satchel he had was. He wanted to keep it as long as possible.

As light bloomed, Dirk spied cavern walls immediately. They were in a cave, enclosed totally. Debbie gasped at something, and Dirk turned towards her. A few decrepit old skeletons lay nearby, the last bits of flesh decaying from their bones. His sister, always the bravest of the two, got up and walked over to them, investigating their find. I don’t see much useful here, she said. And I can’t tell how they died.

Debbie rummaged as Dirk began to tend the small fire, knowing it would go out very soon. He glanced around. No wood, no burnable materials, nothing to keep the fire going. They had perhaps five minutes, maybe less, so they had to think fast. Hey, sis, is there anything flammable over there? Anything at all? We’re going to lose light, fast.

Let me check, she said. He heard her moving around, No… nothing… wait… His sister picked up a broken lamp. There’s no wick, but I think there’s still some oil in here. She brought it back to him, holding it with care lest she spill a drop.

When she handed it to him, he sniffed at the broken container. She was right, it appeared to be oil, though it smelled rancid. Using his blade, he cut his shirt into strips. Get me some of those bones over there, femurs preferably. Something we can use as a torch. Debbie did as he asked, and
