INTRODUCTION
This book is NOT intended to prove that the author is gender biased. It is NOT meant to prove that every cause of marital break up is caused by women. No, it is NOT to witch-hunt women for family failure. It is NOT even meant to show that women are home breakers that need to be judged. It does not portray that men are faultless and blameless when it comes to marital problems. No, men have greater part of the blame. But this edition focuses on reasons women should be blamed when a one-time happily married man and woman decide to live apart for sake of peace.
Before we proceed, it’s worth to note that women is preferred in the title instead of wife because every woman is either a wife or a potential wife, except in rare cases where a woman ‘plays’ the part of a husband.
Divorce takes place because a woman allows two things to happen. It’s either she directly fuels the cause of accumulated problems in her home or she overlooks certain issues she would have rebuked in the very beginning but ignored them until a time she cannot control the situations.
You will discover in this book what every woman should do to keep her marriage despise all odds. The secret of being in charge of your husband is fully explained therein. Remember that you cannot take full control of your home if you have not taken the heart of your husband.
A broken home does not just happen. It happens as a result of accumulated issues getting out of hands. And when it happens, children suffer the effect.
Every woman has full ability to influence her home positively but most times cautions are thrown to the wind.
Every woman is naturally endowed with great potentials to care for her husband but most times attitude fails her. You can marry the best husband on earth but only your attitude will decide if you will last long in that marriage.
This book has been carefully written based on daily experience to address marital issues facing our society today. It’s a daily guide for every woman.
ACKNOWLEDGMENTS
This paper could not be written to its fullest without Ngozi Cosmas, who served as my supervisor, as well as one who challenged and encouraged me throughout my time spent studying under her. She would have never accepted anything less than my best efforts, and for that, I thank her.
CHAPTER ONE: WHEN A WOMAN IS ANGRY
Never raise your voice for any reason at your husband. It’s a sign of disrespect. If you want respect in your marriage, work on your voice. Things will hardly go wrong when the tenacity of your voice turns away anger. The power to make or mar your marriage is in your tongue.
Your voice is the pivot to which your marriage revolves. Its strength is dependent on the effectiveness of your voice. It detects the tune of communication with your husband. Everything you do or plan to do starts with the power of verbal relationship between you and your spouse.
To be a highly successful wife you do not only need to have wisdom, insight and relationships to recognize trouble prone issues and avoid them, you also need to have the power of presence: a
