NOTE: Dreams Sapphire Springs Book 1 has been heavily corrected and changed. If you bought a copy before 11/21/2013 please get the updated version now. I apologize for any inconvenience this has caused and hope I do much better with future book releases. Thank you for you understanding and patience. Savvy I began writing almost 20 years ago but only recently decided to publish. Writing has been one of the most enjoyable aspects of my life. It has allowed me to experience knew things, transported me to new places and allowed me to meet knew people. I also enjoy photography, graphic arts, and many other forms of artistic expression. I created the cover for Dreams and have created the cover for the next three novels in the series. Because I am usually behind the camera rather in front of it, I do not have an author's photo I can put up but I am working to correct this and hope to have it up soon. I have been married for nearly 25 years to my best friend, adventure/travel partner, confidant and greatest critic, Caleb. We have a unique relationship in that we do everything together. I call Caleb my greatest critic because he only wants the best for me and is always willing to give me honest feedback concerning my writing. We live in the Deep South, for now, but have lived all over the US and Germany. We have two Black Labrador Retrievers we adopted from rescue shelters. One is a full Black Lab and the other is a Lab/Australian Dingo mix. Thank you for your interest in my books, I look forward to giving you many years of enjoyable reading. The Gods

    Celtic Pantheon

The Daghda - King of the Celtic Gods. Married to Morrigan. Immensely powerful. Associated with a magical hammer and a cauldron. Known as the God of Sorcery and Witchcraft.

Morrigan - Queen of the Celtic Gods, Goddess of war and death, Supreme Warrior Goddess. Married to the Daghda. A shapeshifting War Goddess of sensuality, magic, prophecy, revenge, and war. Known as Great Queen, Supreme War Goddess, Queen of Phantoms, and Specter Queen. She kept company with Fea (hateful), Badb (fury), and Macha (battle). Also known as a Triple Goddess from Maiden, Mother and Crone. Patroness of priestesses and witches.

Aine of Knockaine - Goddess of love and fertility, later known as the Queen of the Faeries. Goddess related to the moon, crops and cattle. Aine is revered among Irish herbalists and healers and is said to be responsible for the body’s life force. A woman of the Leanan Sidhe (Sweetheart of the Sidhe) Legend states Aine was raped and turned vengeful toward her attacker stating, Ill have you been to me, to have done me such violence and to have killed my father. To requite this I too will do you violence and by the time we are done I will leave you with no means of reprisal. It is said this is the story of what happens when a ruler rapes the land rather than enter into a marriage with her. Due to this, Aine gained a reputation of being quite vengeful. In the story of her rape, she ultimately destroys her attacker by biting off his ear thus rendering him unfit to rule and later arranging his death.

A result of Aine’s attack, she was later hailed the Goddess of Protection, Healing, Divination, Luck, Earth and the Moon. Later, she was anointed as the Protector of Women, Wrath, Vengeance and Death. Her vengeance was so great she was even thought by some to be The Morrigan. She can spellbind any man into a fatal attraction and as a result, his death would be final punishment.

Aine is extremely vengeful, and it is not safe to offend her.

    Greek Pantheon

Zeus - God of the sky and ruler of the Olympian gods. Father of Aphrodite

Aphrodite - Goddess of love, desire and beauty. Mother of Eros.

Eros - Primordial god of love. Carries a double stringed bow and, depending on his arrows, can make any soul fall in love or become cold and indifferent. The story goes Aphrodite was jealous of the beautiful human princess, Psyche. She ordered her son, Eros, to make Psyche fall in love with the most hideous creature on Earth. When Eros goes to fulfill his mother’s command, he accidentally pricks his thumb with his own arrow and, thus, becomes a victim of his own magic, thereby falls in love with Psyche. The same arrow that pricked Eros’s thumb hits its target, Psyche’s heart. The two fall madly in love and Eros carries her off to his opulent abode making her his wife. A short time later, Psyche’s jealous sister led Psyche into betraying Eros which in turn made him abandon Psyche, leaving her to roam the Earth without him. After much strife and arguing and Psyche begging, Aphrodite eventually caved and set up a series of tests for Psyche to complete to prove her fidelity. Psyche completes each test successfully thereby forcing Aphrodite to uphold her vow to make Psyche immortal, thus reuniting Eros and his bride. Don’t think the story is a happy one. Although Eros and Psyche are madly in love with each other, they don’t really like one another most days and fight constantly. What do you expect when one is the God of Love, Desire, and Excess, and the other is touted to be more beautiful and desirable than Aphrodite herself?

    Prologue

Of all the arrogant, ego-maniacal, vainglorious...

    Aine, wait up.

    Nefarious, reprehensible, outlandish, licentious....

Aine! I said to hold up.

    Weaseling, no-good, son-of-a....

    AINE!

The commanding voice of Morrigan stopped Aine in her tracks. She turned to face the rather angry looking Goddess of War, a.k.a. the Queen of the Gods. Yes?

I’ve been trying to get your attention since I saw you storm across the training grounds of the Great Hall. Caedmon nearly lost an arm protecting you from being sliced in two by a sword.

Aine looked around, realizing she was standing at the foot of the Temple of Faeries. She hadn’t even realized she had walked this far.

You were making me run, and you know I never run.

Aine rolled her eyes at the lame joke. Morrigan was the Goddess of War. She was not known for conceding a battle or tucking tail and running.

You should have listened to me all those millennium ago.

Please, can we skip the part where you tell me I told you so? I’ll just jump in here and say, again I might add, that you were right, Morrigan. I should have never taken Eros as a lover.

I never said you shouldn’t take him as a lover. I told you to stay the hell away from his arrows. I told you I’d had a vision of what would happen and you ignored me.

Sorry. Aine’s shoulders slumped and tears sprang to her eyes.

Oh, I know that weepy look.

    I’m not weepy. Aine sniffled.

Oh, no. Not at all. Morrigan placed her arm around her and began steering her toward the path that would lead them away from Aine’s Temple.

I need to... Aine looked around again. Where are we going?
