Meeting a New Friend

Ife is 11 years old, and he has just moved into a new neighborhood with his mom and dad. Even though Ife is excited to be in a new place, he is worried about making new friends. This had made him very sad.

During the drive home, Ife spotted an animal shelter with lots of puppies and cats playing in its yard.Mom, look! Can I have a puppy - please, pretty, pretty please - I really want it; please? yelled Ife.

Ife’s mom smiled and looked at his dad. Dad smiled back and said, Yes - but promise you will help take care of the puppy.
