About this ebook

Metro, the little dog, had been adopted by Sherry over Easter weekend, and with each passing day they grew more and more fond of each other. Metro tries to make friends with Butterscotch, the beautiful cat, but Butterscotch is stuck-up and thinks Metro is just a crazy puppy. Sherry adopts Playmate, a good-natured kitten, so Metro can have an animal friend to play with.

Metro meets the glamorous Marguerite, Sherry’s best friend since kindergarten. The girls take Metro to Hollywood where she sings at an opera. Hilarity ensues and the crowd goes wild! Metro is a gracious starlet and gives her “Metrograph” to fans with a paw print on their Playbills. That night, at a famous Hollywood restaurant, she trills an Italian opera with a singing waiter! And much more!

Metro’s Big Heart and Burning Lips

Metro the little dog had been adopted by Sherry over Easter weekend. Now it was already May. Metro was getting a tiny bit bigger but she would always stay a small dog.

With each passing day Sherry and Metro grew more and more fond of each other. They did almost everything together, except during the week when Sherry had to go to work and school.

Every weekday Sherry took Metro (the train) to work and missed Metro (the dog).

Metro quickly learned how to use the doggy door. She could run around the house and go outside if she wanted. Metro still wanted to be best friends with Butterscotch, but the grumpy orange cat ignored the little dog's friendly overtures.

Even though Metro was still a puppy, Sherry started to notice something special about her little dog: Metro had a very tender heart.

One Friday, Sherry stopped after work to get tacos.

She ate them on a tray with Metro by her side and turned on their favorite TV show.

Sherry and Metro loved to watch nature shows. This show was about horses running free and wild. Metro watched intently; her ears were up and alert. She enjoyed watching the horses gallop with their majestic manes and pretty tails flowing with the speed and the wind. Soon Sherry and Metro felt like they were running through the meadows with the horses.

    But then two horses
