Summer Holiday
There’s a train that runs on barren track, along the side & at the back,
of the caravan.
The children laugh & shout with glee,
Summer’s here & they’ve ran & ran.
We had ham & cucumber sandwiches,
strawberry jam & fresh baked bread, for tea.
Bathed & clean, quiet now, all spent out & ready for sleep;lulled by the drowsy hum of the homing bee.
