Chapter 1…. MissinG!

It’s been 2 months and no signs of Ray anywhere. I am losing my mind, Jay! We have to find your dad, I kept calling his phone but it appeared to be dead for the longest, now it has no service. Jay did you put up the signs with your brothers over at Pennypack park in case your father sees them so he can find them and know that we haven’t given up, said Yesenia to Jay. Jay in a cracking and upset voice answers Yes mom, we have gone every day, we have used Joe’s drone to scout the area and nothing! Manuel alone with a few of Ray’s friends including Elliot, Isaiah and Alonzo, we all have been searching for dad with no luck. The only thing we found was his helmet and Radio in the water. Mom, we have to do something we are running very low on supplies and Philadelphia continues to burn and to be taken over by the Ghouls and goons, there are less safe places to go. Jay walks away as he sees his youngest brother Art running toward them crying, and asked Art, Homie you ok? What’s the matter? Art look as Jay and barely able to speak says I’m pissed! Everyone lie to me!

Art keeps running to his mother crying and hugs her almost knocking her over and in desperate voice says Mom did Dad died? Did he run away? Where is daddy, mom? Nicole said he died, Mom! Where is daddy, mom? Yesenia breaks down and starts to cry, hugs her baby boy and wipes his tears and says Art, honey your dad is somewhere out there! And we don’t know where? He could be hurt! He is lonely, maybe hungry and missing us, Papi! We have to be strong Art and, we have to be here for him, so when he comes back, we are all fine!

Art still crying looks as his mom and says mommy I’m really scared of the ghouls! I don’t want Dad to be a ghoul! I saw them trying to get in last night and Jay when outside and he was really mad and cut their head off! He was using this long black stick with some kind of sword and the stick had gold letters. He was making it yesterday and then went outside with no jacket or gloves. He was screaming hard, mom! Jay got me scared and Alex barely speaks! And Nicole is always mad and cries a lot at night! Joe is always saying I am going to find dad today, but he hasn’t!"

Art continues to cry and Joe walks over and says, Come on Art so you can take a shower, mommy needs time and think: how we are going to find dad! Dad is not dead and we will find him Art! Joe walks away and takes his little brother. Yesenia walks over to the room where Nicole stays and stand right at the door. Yesenia then says Nicole baby, can I talk to you? What’s the matter? Why are you telling Art that your dad is dead? You don’t know that and we don’t know that! So please be a little more positive. We will find him! I am going to call Alonzo and see if he has seen anything or heard anything! Please keep your head up! I need you to help me and be strong because it’s what your father would want from you and all of us!

Nicole has a look on her face like her world just shattered and the pain is unbearable. Nicole gets up from her bed and slowly approaches her mother with her head hanging low and as she walks up she drops her IPod and a low whimper can be heard Mom I’ll died if my Daddy is dead! I miss him so much! We missed him for so long, when he was in the war mom! I want daddy to come home! I am really scared that we lost daddy! Mom we are going to died without him! I see you cry every day! I see Art and Joe cry every day! I see how mad Jay is and helpless and I see how Alex is losing it too! Mom we have to find Dad!

Nicole very emotional hugs her mother and both of the start to cry even harder, Art runs out the shower in under wares and fighting Joe, they both start to hug their mom and cry with their sister and mom. Alex hears all the commotion and opens his door and Rose runs outside crying and calling out for her Poppa! Alex sees his mother, sister and brothers crying and runs up to them and embraced them in a group hug.

Jay sees all of them crying and hugging and holds his breath and yells hard as shit, FUCK! FUCK! Mom I’m going to go find Dad! and runs down the stairs. Yesenia tried to run after him but Alex held her and said Mom, let him go! He won’t go far, he was crying like all of us! A few second later the electric gate can be heard opening and Jay’s black Subaru starts up and pulls out! Then the gate can be heard closing! Alex looks at his mother and says well maybe he will go a little far, I’ll call Manuel and we will follow him!

Yesenia looks at her son Alex and says hurry up go find him and bring him back! We need to do a run for supplies! Alex looks to acknowledge that he heard her and runs out to the lot and jumps on his truck. Yesenia now forced to make a move call everyone one together and tells Art to get dress and meet everyone else at the diner area in 10 minutes. Yesenia then order Nicole and Joe to go used the bathroom, because they are all going out for a run. Once, everyone was ready to go; they get in Yesenia’s truck. Yesenia grabs her cell phone and calls Alonzo; Hey Alonzo, how are you and the family? Alonzo answered the phone Hey Yesenia, we are ok, hanging in there. Any luck finding Ray?

Yesenia then replied No, no luck, but I was calling to ask you a few questions and because I need help! Have you been able to fly around the city in the past few days? Have you heard anything else from the government? With no power it’s hard to get any information now. Alonzo takes a deep breath and says I got a radio transmission on the plane this morning, they will allowed me to fly for two more days then Philadelphia and New Jersey will be a no flight zone. I have been scouting the Chester county border. My wife wants to go and see if she can sneak pass with our son Alonzo Jr. But Javy doesn’t want to go. He is at the airport right now, but whatever you need I can help!

Yesenia in a crackling voice quickly said well now that you mentioned it. I would like to take a chance and see if I can get Art, Joe, Nicole, Rose, Evan, Alex and Ann out of here. I will stay here with Jay until we find Ray. Then I will escape with them as well.Alonzo then hesitant says, "I will help you because you are more than family and your children and my family can work together and it would be easier for all of us to find them. I also got in touch with Elliot, he wants to get his wife and a child out as well and so does Isaiah. Every well meet at my home tomorrow night. Elliot and Isaiah want to stay to help find Ray but for 3 weeks. They told me that after that they will have leave to reunite with their families and it’s only fair. I don’t think Ray would allow them to stay
