Ashley wakes up feeling cramped from sleeping on her girlfriend Marcele’s open couch. Marcele had taken the girls out for the night and introduced Ashley and Audrey to Courtney (who has two unused rooms in her apartment). Ashley wakes up to a txt from Courtney asking if she wants to come by to check out the apartment.

Marcele- Good morning, Starshine! Last night was incredible, ahhhh, and apparently we missed an epic after hours.

Ashley- After hours? Were we not at the club ‘til 5 A.M.?

Marcel- Hahaha, yes, but Beat is where everyone comes out to play, you’ll see.

Ashley- Truly living in the City that never sleeps. Courtney txted me! She wants Audrey and me to come see the apartment.

Marcele- Fuck yeah, that would be awesome. If you all live together it’s just two subway stops away. Wanna get brunch?

Ashley- You read my mind.

Girls go to brunch where much gossip is exchanged and Ashley is checking job listings all over the City.

Marcele- You know Courtney works at the hottest private night club in Meat Packing…. You should talk to her about it. You’re so hot, I don’t even think you know how hot you are. You should try working with her.

Ashley- Hold on, I applied for a marketing position in the Rag Trade, sorry - Garment District. Let me take this call.

Ashley, on the phone, gets disappointing news. She sits down and tells Marcele she didn’t get the job.

Ashley- How could I NOT have landed that job? I have a degree and great references!

Marcele- I’m telling you - you are 22 years old. Do NOT work in an office. You’ll meet with Courtney later. Ask her about the job, she is pretty much a model scout for the club. You can make some good money and have fun doing it.

Marcele and Ashley finish up brunch. Ashley, feeling better about the future, sends Audrey a txt telling her about the apartment and asks to meet her in the West Village to check it out.

Ashley and Audrey decide to walk to Courtney’s and are out in front of the apartment building within thirty minutes.

Audrey- Well this might just be our home for the next year. Let’s go check it out and see Courtney!

Ashley- So crazy we are actually in this City, checking out an apartment!

Audrey- Yes isn’t it amazing. Two weeks ago, we were in Kansas working at a Walmart. Wow, this is great!

Girls smile and head inside the building. They go up to apartment 418 where Courtney has the door wide open. It smells of coffee and paradise. Courtney has on some old 90’s R&B music. The apartment has exposed brick walls, high ceilings, concrete floors, one bathroom and a tiny kitchen. The girls walk in.

Courtney looks up from cleaning something off the floor. She smiles at the girls and says- Hey! I didn’t expect you guys for another hour!

Ashley- This place looks great!

Courtney gives them a tour. Discusses rent etc.

Audrey- So $1,000 includes everything? When can we move in? I don’t want to couch surf anymore.

Courtney- Yes $1,000 the 1st of every month and we are golden. You can move in tomorrow if you like.

Ashley- Yesssss!!!!!!!!!!!! Audrey, Ashley, and Courtney, all excited, hug and scream loudly.

Courtney goes to the kitchen to pop a bottle of Champagne. Pours a drink to celebrate the girls’ house warming.

Ashley- So Courtney, Marcele said you worked at this club. What’s that all about? I interviewed for this stupid office job and didn’t get it. I need work ASAP.

Courtney- Oh yeah? Well, I’ll send a txt over to my boss asking if I can bring you two in the club for a little eval.

Audrey- Evaluation?

Courtney, laughing- Yes Honey, so many girls want the job. It takes a lot of guts, sexiness, and authority to be a Midnite Model.

Audrey - Midnite Model?

Courtney- Ashley, I’ll txt you later, I have a guy coming over and I want to have all the fun I can get before roommates move in.

Girls leave their future apartment and head back to Marcele’s.

EPICHAPTER 2

Sephora

Today is Moving Day. Audrey and Ashley have so much to do! They take some used Fed Ex boxes that Marcele had saved and pack up their clothes and other stuff in them.

Courtney calls Ashley’s cell phone. Ashley answers and puts on speaker.

Courtney- Hey, when you two are ready, let me know. I borrowed a car from my neighbor, let’s get this started. I wanna get this finished, then go pick up some things from Sephora.

Girls pack up the van and start the moving operation. When the girls finish bringing up the last box, Courtney explains how she does it all.

Ashley- So what is your secret, how do you look so good, and keep up?

Courtney- I drink juice, mainly, and eat whole foods. I work out 24/7 and keep an eye out on the runway looks. I try to keep up with them within my budget.

Audrey- I want to try juicing, I’ve never even had one before.

Courtney- Okay girls I’ll step out and grab some juices. Make yourselves at home and unpack a little. I’ll be back in an hour. Let’s hit up Sephora before work. I need eyeliner.

Courtney leaves the apartment to grab juices and run a couple of errands. Ashley and Audrey both are screaming, freaking out, about the new apartment they are living in. They start to unpack and get their rooms in order. They don’t have much furniture and this is a big problem. Ikea on their minds.

Courtney returns to the apartment with juices and a bottle of Champagne. The boxes have been put away and the girls have music on.

Courtney- Here are some juices, packed with grapefruits, super greens, and antioxidants to keep us feeling slim and energized! It’s like a drinkable meal minus the carbs!

The girls enjoy the juices and head out of the apartment to run to Sephora to pick up a few cosmetics and accessories that every Midnite Model must have in her purse.

Courtney- Okay, so this is the Mothership (talking about Sephora). Sephora, Zara, Top Shop, and Bergdorf Goodman are our home bases. This is where we find everything. Girls, look for red lipstick and lip gloss. Shimmery bronzer for your cheeks, and a roller perfume. Arm-up for the upcoming battles of the night.

Girls race around Sephora getting a little more than they had originally planned. They check out and walk back to the apartment.

Ashley, opening the fridge, asks Courtney-Hey can I pour us a couple of glasses of this Champagne?

Courtney- Girl what’s mine is yours, pour me some too.

Audrey switches on the TV, puts on the E-channel to keep up with the celeb news and gossip.

EPICHAPTER 3

Ashley and Audrey both wake up at 7 a.m. to a group txt from Courtney- Ladies, listen up! My boss Tanya trusts me and wants to set up an interview today. Please dress smart and have a printed resume in perfect condition. Interview is at 4 p.m. Call if you have any questions.

Ashley and Audrey are both so excited for the news about the interview. Feeling relieved that they met Courtney and finally have an in to the City. Courtney seems to have it all: an apartment that the girls can move into and a job to pay the rent with.

The girls throw on some loud pop music and put on a pot of coffee. The excitement level is so high that they dance (wearing tiny underwear and tiny white tank tops). After the fun celebration of the interview they get ready and put on their hottest dresses and highest heels.

Audrey- Hey, I think we should take a subway or figure out a way to get to work. We can’t always rely on an Uber.

Ashley- You’re right, let’s leave now then, just in case we get lost.

The girls exit the apartment. As soon as they hit the streets, everyone is staring at them. They feel a little uncomfortable and weirded out. A man-cat calls to them. Feeling nervous, they txt Courtney- OTW (on the way). Head off to the underground and hop on a train. Everyone is looking at them. (They are dressed like total Midnite Models and they don’t even realize it). They miss their subway stop. Frantic about missing the interview, the girls finally find their way to the club by walking. Heading inside, the girls see Courtney waiting for them.

Courtney- Girls, you are meeting the boss for the first time. You should have dressed a little more casual, Off Duty Model attire. I’ll tell you more later. Tanya is waiting NOW!

Ashley and Audrey enter the establishment. There are high ceilings with black satin curtains draped every which way. Busy people running around, prepping for the event tonight. They walk through the club which has multiple big rooms. Feeling very excited, like the world is in their hands. Courtney opens a side door and there is
