Two Kilts Are Better Than One

Jinny set another basket of blueberry ginger scones on the table inside the green tent that served as her booth. The Highland Games were packed this morning. Much more than yesterday. She’d already sold three large baskets of the blueberry scones. And two of the raspberry, but only one of the currant scones. So, not a traditional crowd here, despite all the kilts.

    Ah, the kilts.

So many sexy men, so much eye candy wandering around. The guys competed in their various events and then wandered over to the food booths. They ate a lot. Then they went back and did their hammer tossing or whatever. Then they came back for more food.

Jinny was happy she sold food rather than wool sweaters.

She adjusted her chartreuse tank top, which was sticking in the heat. Her nipples felt hard, just from looking at all the guys and wondering just what was beneath those kilts.

The heat of the afternoon felt good, though. It made her muscles loose and she felt juicy and alive.

Brushing a stray hair aside, she sipped from her water bottle, feeling the cool minty water travel down her throat. She should eat something, probably. She’d been up since three in the morning baking.

Sarah would be here soon, to take over the sales. Then Jinny had a couple hours to wander around the Games before she needed to go home and sleep, so she could get up at two and do it all again. The life of a baker.

The short, sharp sounds of a blistering reel drifted over from the stage as two luscious men in muscle shirts, hiking boots and kilts walked into her tent. Muscle shirts were what most men who competed in athletics wore at the Games. Most men didn’t fill them out quite as well as these two.

    Good afternoon, she said.
