SIDELINE QUESTION: Why should you trust Jesus?

    TODAY’S LESSON

When you are seeking guidance, who do you turn to? Do you look to a sibling or a friend to give you advice? Perhaps you talk to a parent or trusted adult. At some point in your life, you will need direction to find the best path to take. It’s easy to go to someone you trust, like a friend, a family member, or even a teacher. The people to whom the book of Hebrews was written had relied on God’s special messengers on earth called prophets, and on angels sent from heaven. There is no wonder why Jesus is the ultimate Source of wisdom. Not only does Jesus Christ sit at the right hand of the Father, but He is also the exact Image of the Father. In other words, by observing Jesus, His deeds, and His words, we can understand who the Father is. We can pattern our lives after the image of God that is displayed by Jesus. If we do so, then we can be assured that we are in the will of God. The Heavenly Father sent His Son into the world to be an Example to humanity. Because He was human and divine, Jesus shows us how to live a godly life as human beings. Jesus Christ is our Light in darkness and the Path to guide us. As our Lord, Jesus serves as a Guide for human behavior and
