About this ebook

But seriously, whether you’re going back to secondary school or going off to college, be prepared – the classes and assignments are going to get harder in the new school year. So what are you going to do about it?
After bringing up my Grade Point Average (GPA) from a 1.75 to a 3.0, I've decided to share my secrets in this very concise book. It features advice for getting rid of bad habits, better listening in class, getting in the mood for studying, advanced study techniques, strategy guides for assignments and of course, those lovable rage comics.
Yeah, I know. You don’t have time to read the entire thing. Guess what? You don’t have to. Just find out what your homework problems are, look for the chapters that have the solutions and pick your favorite technique.
Canute Johnson
Canute Johnson has always had a strong passion for education. His mother, Gloria Reid-Johnson, was a primary school teacher and made him appreciate the value of learning and studying from his more tender years. After receiving a Government Scholarship for his performance in the 2002 GSAT Examinations, he began to attend Cornwall College. It was at that stage he began to realize the extra effort that was needed to complete homework and study assignments. In 2009, Canute received his acceptance letter from the University of the West Indies, Mona. Academically, his first two years were extremely challenging and he failed multiple courses. He began designing strategies to improve his learning and studying efficiency. His determination and creativity paid off because in 2013, he graduated from the U.W.I with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry with Second Class Honours. Canute realized he had to share his secrets for approaching learning and studying. Working at a book store on many occasions inspired him to share his secrets with students in the form of a book, but it was his experience relating to children as Vice President of the Hopewell Baptist Church Youth Fellowship and as a Camp Counsellor at Jamaica Baptist Union’s Junior Camp that helped him create “The Funny Thing About Homework”.
