Society Sonnet Speak

This is a brief example of several recent sonnets I have written over the course of the last few years. The themes deal with society, nature, relationships, all of the issues that matter to me as a writer, teacher, and father to my family. I am hoping you might take a look, and perhaps if nothing else provide feedback to steer me in the right direction with my writing.

Thom Amundsen

Thom Amundsen is a high school teacher of English and Theatre Arts director in the Minneapolis / St Paul area. His goals are to be a writer. He has written poetry for nearly 30 years; however, in recent years life events have moved him to go further in serious attempt to move his work to publication. He is starting with a book of short sonnets. Thom is a family man with a lovely spouse and two delightful adult children. Thom has a B.A. in English from Augsburg College in Minnesota, and a Masters in Education from Hamline University in St. Paul, Minnesota. His original hometown is Wausau WI, a fond memory that evokes many of the themes of his writing.
