The heavy smell of grilled hamburger grease greeted Ed as he walked from his car up the long driveway. The front door was open, so he let himself in through the screen door unannounced. It seemed most folks were out in the backyard, but his aunt and uncle happened to be in the kitchen talking to a woman he didn't immediately recognize.

Well, hey there, stranger! Ed's aunt put down her plate of fruit salad and reached her arms up to hug her nephew, who towered over her by almost two feet.

Please, you're not six years old anymore, you can call me Tina.

What are you guys doing back in town? I thought you moved to… I actually forgot where you moved to.

We were in North Carolina, but my husband's job was cut and so we came back here to be closer to family and friends again.

Sorry to hear about Mr. Geller's job, but welcome back. He paused, glancing out the kitchen window into the back yard. So, is Suzie here? I haven't seen her since you guys left.

"Sue came back up here once she finished college, and yes,
