    Assess what is and isn’t working.

    We often talk about the different areas of life as though they’re separate lives. How happy you are with each of yours?

    Rate each life from 0 -5.

    EVALUATING THE EVALUATION

    Henry Ford said, Business is never so healthy as when, like a chicken, it has to do a certain amount of scratching for what it gets, and the same is true of the business of being a person. Growth and challenge and room for improvement keep us engaged in our experience. They might even make us happier than those more obviously blissful moments when everything seems just so. So keep scratching!

    Step 2: Be Approachable

    Ask a friend to do their own life evaluation then meet to discuss.

    What’s up with your overall life score? Do you think it reflects your overall level of happiness at the moment?

    What’s the main thing happening in each life area?

    Have you always felt similarly or has something changed?

    Do your friend’s feelings surprise you (or vice versa)?

    Do you think how you see yourself lines up with how other people see you?
