    Dedication

I would like to dedicate this book to my parents because without them, there would be no me. I’m grateful for their continual support through this journey called life; together they have not only modeled a lifestyle to follow, but daily they strive to live a life that is pleasing and acceptable unto God. You guys are my life heroes, and I love you more than words could describe. I’d also like to thank God for my loving family, my church family (New Vision New Day Ministry), my best friends (you know who you are), my mentors (past and present) for believing in me, supporting me throughout the years, and never giving up on me. Thank you! I love you all. 

    Preface

This book is dedicated to those individuals who have suffered from low self-esteem and confidence. My prayer is that you read this book with an open mind to look within, internalize your reality, and begin to make changes for the good if these concepts and experiences from my life apply to you. Be sure to read until the end.

    Introduction

Hey there! Welcome to my first book titled Twenty-One Days to Love You . I know what you’re thinking, this is probably just another one of those self-help books to make you feel good about yourself, well, you’re right! However, this book comes from the heart and my own personal experiences. It serves as a tool to encourage, inspire, empower, and uplift women all over the world who have or is currently suffering from an identity crisis. Anyone that knows me can tell you that I’m practically an open book. I have nothing to hide, but there is this one thing that I would try to mask over and over again until the point that I got tired of faking it. My love for myself, you see, no matter how much you try to hide your low esteem, everyone can see it but you. Further in this book, we will discuss exactly how I masked my low level of love for myself and how it affected my overall well-being.

I am sure you’re wondering by now, just tell me already! Okay, I’ll give you a hint: Makeup. Yep! That’s right, Makeup was one of the biggest mask that I used to try to make myself feel better about my looks. Let me be very clear, I love makeup and how it enhances our natural beauty; however, it shouldn’t have been the only time I felt pretty when I looked in the mirror. Now, I can walk out of the house with or without makeup and feel just as Confident. I believe that was more than a hint, but you get the point. To continue, I have a challenge for you! Yes, you!

Homework for Day 1: Write down one thing that you love about yourself? Come on, I know it seems hard, but dig deep inside and jot it down below! Then think about how that makes you feel?
