Chapter 1 – The Introduction
I am not a very big snack addict but I do love to have things available to me for when I want them. Plus as someone that calorie counts from time to time I like an idea of how many calories I have consumed.
Therefore I have put together a list of my top 100 food and snacks that are 50 calories or under to help you make some quick decisions with your meals or snacks. This is also particularly good if you are a follower of the 5:2 fasting plan because you could choose the lowest of these snacks and make your 500 calorie days go so much further.
I have also separated it into easy to follow categories so that it is easy to follow and then you can plan your snacks and what you are going to eat. Whether you are a comfort eater or someone that doesn’t snack I hope you find this useful.
So let’s get started and unleash super tasty food mixed in with low calories.....
1. Red Pepper = 24 calories – I absolutely love red, green and yellow peppers. They are full of great nutrients and are perfect for losing weight. You could have it stuffed on the 5:2 diet or just chop it up into slices like I often do.
2. Carrot = 25 calories – I remember my Grandad taking me to his allotment when I was growing up. He would have all kinds of fresh vegetables and fruit and I would always go for some carrots. A raw medium carrot has just 25 calories in it and can be eaten if you are in a rush.
