Chapter 1
Vital energy is the refined energy of the body. It provides the foundation for all activity and is said to be the 'root' of our aliveness.
Vital energy
Vital energy is the strongest form of energy in your body. It is responsible for your vitality and youthful vigor. This energy is the sexual energy that builds up from our youth and often reaches its peak in adolescence. For most people, it slowly gets weaker as we get older. It is responsible for our sexual interests, our passion and our physical energy. The energy that we notice radiating from adolescents is cultivated in their sexual organs. When we look at old, fragile people, it is this lack of energy in the sexual glands that results in a lack of vitality and vigor. The reason that so many people in our society suffer from a lack of this vital energy is because all we do is spend this energy; we are never taught how to cultivate and use it to fuel other areas of our life outside of sex.
There is this strange taboo regarding anything sexual that prevents people from learning to use their bodies the way they were meant to be used. If you tell people that exercising their abdominal muscles will keep them strong and healthy, people will understand what you are saying and most likely agree with you. But if you say that exercising your testicles or your ovaries will drastically increase your power and stamina, people will feel awkward; they will think that you are talking about something perverted and will be quick to dismiss what you are saying. Because of this unfortunate cultural bias, our society has literally turned their back to the benefits of sexual energy cultivation. And yet, all the obvious signs are showing us that our sexual energy is a key component in our health and vitality.
The most obvious difference between a teenager and an elderly person is energy. Teenagers are exploding with energy, while elderly people seem to be holding onto the few energetic reserves that they have left. The difference between them is this vital energy that derives from the sexual glands. The teenager is abundant with this vital energy. Often uncertain what to do with it, they end up filling their day with activities like playing sports and studying in school. Their hormonal energy is strong and is reflected in their passionate enthusiasm for life. Almost all adults look back on those years and wish that they could still have that drive, that vigor and that vitality. The thing is, they can. As a people, we were never supposed to lose that energy as rapidly as we are.
Within your body is a factory of organs and glands that produce different types of energy. The strongest of this energy is the vital energy that is created in your sexual glands. These glands produce the energy that supplies our body with youthful power, but these glands are like muscles that require exercise to stay strong. These exercises are simple to do and they result in an increase in the production of vital energy. As a society, we ignore this entire concept. Instead, we act as if we have been given a small treasure and told to go out and spend all we want. Imagine giving a teenager a large sum of wealth and no financial training, you just encourage them to spend as much as they want. The result would be a very broke adult years later, because unless someone teaches us how to earn more money and how to save, all we know how to do is waste our wealth. This is exactly what we do with our vital energy. As teenagers, we spend all of our energy with activities and sexuality; we consume things that deplete this energy of ours, and we never do a single thing to cultivate or strengthen it. Then years later the people in our society are weak and tired for their age. They have low sexual stamina, their passion and vigor for life is weak and they justify it by telling themselves that this is the natural process of life. I am here to tell you that this is not true. We have within us the ability to cultivate our own source of vitality. We have the means to increase our physical and mental prowess. We have the control to slow down the process of aging and return to a place of youthful energy and passionate vitality.
These techniques teach people how to harness and cultivate the power of the sexual glands to produce more life giving energy through the entire duration of their lives so that they are not subjected to the rapid decline of vitality that most people in our society face.
The science behind vital energy
Vital energy is the primal energy of life and is closely associated with our genetic potential and the aging process. Vital energy is energy that is stored in our deepest core and provides the reserves required to adapt to all the various stresses encountered in life. It is a concentrated energy and is said to control a number of primary human functions: the reproductive organs and their various substances and functions, the power and clarity of the mind, and the integrity of one's physical structure. This energy is generally associated with the hormones of the reproductive and adrenal glands and is the indispensable essence concentrated in the sperm and ova. Vital energy is the foundation of life—a primordial force that animates life. It is the glue that holds your cells together. It regulates growth and form in the same way DNA does, but it is not DNA. It is actually the force that holds DNA together; it could be called DNA energy. This vital energy is found throughout your entire body. It holds you together, regulating growth and also the effects of the aging process.
Your vital energy is stored in your sexual glands; in women it is stored in their ovaries and in men it is stored in their testicles.
The vital energy muscle is muscle that can stimulate the growth of more vital energy in your body when contracted and released. This muscle is also referred to as the perineum muscle or the PC muscle. The vital energy muscle is located between the vagina and the anus in women and the testicles and anus in men. Contraction of the vagina is a result of contracting the vital energy muscle. The status of a person’s sexual health is directly connected with the physical power of this muscle. A weak vital energy muscle results in a shortage of sexual power; by simply strengthening this muscle group, a person can drastically increase their sexual energy.
The reproductive glands produce life-giving energy that can be used to strengthen the body, build internal power, and prevent premature aging.
The testicles produce the vital energy in men. By performing exercises, such as contracting the vital energy muscle, a man can learn to stimulate that production. These exercises also teach a man how he can prevent the unnecessary waste of this vital energy. Through the vital energy pull exercises, a man can learn to circulate this energy in his body to increase his health and vitality. The female reproductive glands produce life-giving energy that can be used to strengthen the body, build internal power, and prevent aging, The energy is almost the same as but differs slightly from male vital energy because it is founded in a feminine energy source, whereas a man’s is founded in a masculine energy source. This is why the advanced techniques of exchanging vital energy between couples are considered the highest level of balancing the yin-yang energies within the body.
The ovaries produce the vital energy in women. Similar to men, practicing the contraction of the vital energy muscle in a woman can lead to stimulation of that production. When a woman learns
