Introduction

I gave my first professional presentation on a sultry morning in St. Petersburg, Florida. I had the flu and was loaded up with medicine. I countered that with a gallon of coffee so I would stay awake. Colleagues said it was fine, but the memory of that talk, my nerves, and my negative self-talk instilled a powerful resistance to public speaking in the future!

Over the years I’ve grown to love sharing what I know in classes and public forums. There are too many people who don’t share because they are fearful.
