I am a retired nurse who now enjoys writing and sharing stories. I am the mother of four grown children and the grandmother of four beautiful grandchildren with one on the way. I live in the great state of Texas and come from an all military family. I myself was in the Army years ago. I am so proud of our military and to have served. I have always loved to write but it has been many years since my pen has taken flight.I love to take an ordinary situation and turn it into a humorous piece. Many of the short articles have been taken from my own life. My family hides now when I say, "Oh I must write about that!" Where is their sense of humor? My poor husband falls victim most of the time. I also have found that after all these years I do still have an imagination, creating fictional stories that take the reader to places unknown. You may find me on Sunnies Pen to Page on Wordpress, where I introduce new writers and their work. My site, Graceful Intentions. I hope you will stop by and have look. My work is also found on Amazon, Yahoo Contributor, and Authors Den as well. Thank you for stopping by, Sunnie

Chapter- 1
Jenny never thought she would find herself in this kind of situation. Filling out forms in the unemployment office was always for other people. Sitting on the hard, wooden chair was almost unbearable. She could see herself in the long mirror that hung across the room. She struggled this morning with what to wear to the unemployment office. She did not want to seem too dressed up, but did not want to appear unprofessional.
Jenny decided on some black pants, a crisp white shirt, with a short black jacket. Her hair was long and brown but she had pinned it up today in a French twist, making her look very sophisticated. She wore a little makeup. Her black Stiletto heels made her appear much taller, but Jenny was only a little over five feet tall. Jenny thought to herself, maybe I should have worn my red Stilettos.
Jenny loved her expensive shoes and had eight pairs that sat neatly in her closet, which had cost her a pretty penny. If Jenny had one addiction, it would be her shoes. There was not a day that would go by that she would not think about buying her next pair of Stilettos.
Looks meant everything to Jenny and she always worked hard on being presentable to the world. While Jenny was a beautiful girl naturally, she did not see herself the way others did. Jenny did not weigh over 120 pounds, and worked hard at the country club to keep her slim figure. The breast implants last year proved to be a valuable asset to say the least. Her smile cost her a few thousand dollars as well to whiten and straighten her
