The Sisters

When we stood and waited for Jenny to bring her new boyfriend, I was dreading the moment. My sister is everything I am not, from looks to careers to personalities. Jenny’s a model. She blonde with bright blue eyes, sculpted cheekbones, and legs for days. Whilst I, Evie, have brown hair, dark eyes, flat cheekbones, and short legs. We couldn’t have been more opposite. Jenny has always been successful in what she did; it started at an early age. She was the one who played with her dolls, while I broke them and cut off their hair. Jenny was also my mother’s favourite. Although parents do not admit it, they do have favourites. She was firstborn and inherited my mother’s looks, while I was born four years later and inherited my father’s dark looks. Whatever I did was never good enough for my mother, and each time I failed a test, she sighed and said,  Oh, Evie, what am I going to do with you? Jenny always did so well.

Blah, blah,
