Introduction
Many individuals are become aware of the vast benefits of eating a vegan diet. For starters, eating vegan completely eliminates cholesterol from your diet. You read that right. Cholesterol is only found in meat, eggs and dairy. Secondly, eating a vegan diet drastically reduces the amount of saturated fat you’ll intake. Though saturated fat is found in more than just meat, eggs and dairy; those three food groups or major contributors to be sure.
But enough of that. If you’re reading this it’s probably because you’re a vegan or want to start eating vegan, so you’re probably aware of the health benefits of it.
However, if you also want (or need) to eat gluten free, you may feel like your food options are very limited. When I tell people I eat vegan and gluten free they usually respond with What do you eat?
Fortunately though, there are an abundance of delicious meals, snacks, desserts and sides you can make. There’s actually a good chance that your meals will get more delicious as you find yourself forced
to create delicious meals in place the boring old meat and potatoes
meals.
One of the reasons I love this way of eating is because it forces you to cook a lot of stuff from scratch.
You can eat just vegan, but chow down on Oreos al day if you want. You can eat just gluten free but still gorge yourself on ice cream but when you combine the two, junk food and pre-made food become hard to find.
Almost everything has wheat, milk or a combination of the two added to it. So in order to stay vegan and gluten free, you’ve got to be careful.
