Simon Finds His Voice (A Romantic Comedy)

About this ebook
It could be the drugs he was getting from that sociopathic psychiatrist of his. Or perhaps he’s just plain nuts. Whatever it is, Simon Matthews is poised at the deep edge and about to go off. He's having strange visions and violent thoughts. Simon is world famous for his computer genius and a billionaire several times over. But now he just isn't himself. And then there's that voice! Ever since he activated the new smart phone his arch nemesis gave him, Simon has been obsessed with it. Actually, obsessed doesn't quite cover it. What Simon believes is pretty damn sick, actually. Simon doesn’t know much about psychology but he does know he has a bit of a neurological defect and maybe that's all it is. When he sets out to find the truth, starting with that voice on his phone, things get very strange, indeed.
Reviews from verified Amazon purchasers:
"... fast moving story that kept me on my toes. Full of twists and turns, and the characters are very well developed. Author has a good sense of humor and was able to blend my two favorite genres, comedy and romance. I would not hesitate to recommend this book to others and I hope to see more work from this author in the future. Nice Job, Mr. Baker."
"I did not put down, until I finished it."
"...love, gadgetry, the FBI and the SEC, bank fraud and a hippy dippy shrink pushing his own mix of hallucinogenic drugs that he believes will cure Simon's Aspergers. Fun reading!"
"This book will keep you on your toes. Nothing is as it seems! It is great till the last word!"
"Baker delivers a very good story for his readers. Great character development, strong storyline, and downright funny. Many parts are just outright hysterical. Don't even question it, just click the buy button. You won't regret it."
"I just finished "Simon Finds His Voice" and I laughed out loud. A lot. A few times they were the kind of laughs where tears were streaming down my face. The characters are wonderfully bizarre, and story is full of twists and turns."
Howard D. Baker
Howard D. Baker is originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. At an early age he discovered he had a knack for making people laugh. At age seven, he started performing in local theater productions. That would continue into his middle and high school years. Following a stint in the Air Force, Howard set out on a career in radio broadcasting. Using the name “Jeff” Baker, he hosted morning shows in a dozen cities. During those years, he learned how to create and perform topical comedy on the fly. He returned to acting as a cast member on an award winning, Baltimore based comedy program, “Crabs.” It was live television, comedy performance without a net. Howard wrote a couple of pieces for that program and for improvisational troupes working in Washington, D.C. He took time to study acting with Wynn Handman at New York’s Carnegie Hall. He has since appeared in dozens of theatrical productions. In addition to his short form writing, Howard has authored screenplays and one-act plays. “Simon Finds His Voice” is his first book.
