Konstantinos "Gus" Deligiannidis is a native of Greece. After completing his undergraduate studies in Athens, Greece with a BS in Business & Economics, he came to the United States to complete his graduate studies. He completed the graduate program of Business Administration at Michigan State University and received his Masters of Business Administration with concentration in Marketing. After a short career in the corporate world in the United States and Greece, he moved to the United States and went into the restaurant business which he has always loved. He has successfully owned and operated two full service restaurants for over 20 years. During that time he pieced together his love for health through nutrition and applied the relative concept for himself with outstanding results. He has delivered several lectures on Health through Nutrition and has devoted a lot of time and resources in researching this field.

    SOME THOUGHTS FOR THE FIRST EDITION

    As soon as the USA came out of the Second World War, our lives and well-being started to change. In a few years we became an affluent society in everything. Along came health problems, and a variety of them. Obesity, diabetes, cancer, arthritis, anxiety and depression, constipation – we spent over $400,000,000 a year on laxatives… high blood pressure, etc. Early in those years, there were many initiatives taken towards better health and the pharmaceutical companies devoted many resources in research and development. They came out with an array of medications for just about everything. Today, we still hold the lead – the bad lead – in most health areas. Obesity is an epidemic. Over half of the population is on some kind of medication, either prescription or over the counter. They made us believe that for every disease or health problem, we have to take one medication, or several of them. Until very recently nobody was talking about health through nutrition. Now there has been at least some talk. In fact lately – the past 10 – 20 years – we have a lot of talk!!! Yet, obesity is an epidemic!!! Why is that?? Because simply those that talk about health, nutrition, exercise, etc, etc, most of them copy one other. A lot of health and wellness programs are even supported by clinical research or trials of any kind, focus groups and a host of other related efforts. Yet, the health problems remain.

    This was an evaluation of what happened with our health over the past 40 years. Right around the beginning of that time table, I started looking at food as a way to better my health. The result of looking to good foods as an alternative way to better health was the manifestation of the Documentary of Health through Nutrition.

    It was really interesting what I found out. All my life I was fascinated with food. However, after some time I was pleasantly surprised what good food had done for me and could also do for you, too! By the same token, I learned how harmful certain foods were and the things I should not be eating or drinking.

    Please read my Documentary of Heath through Nutrition and you will find many interesting messages that will excite and affect you. They will help you to find a better life through better health and add many years to your life.

    SOME THOUGHTS FOR THE SECOND EDITION

    At the beginning of this year we printed the first edition of the Unique Documentary of Health through Nutrition. After its wide acceptance and very favorable comments, we decided to come out with the second edition.

    It is really rewarding the feedback that we gained with reference to the content of my personal story. Today, a huge number of our population is on some kind of prescription or over-the-counter medication. It is really unique to share the benefits that I have received while creating my own personal story of Heath through Nutrition. Furthermore, in this second edition I pointed out four areas that make up the fascinating wellness program that came out of my personal story. These areas are:

    Lower your cholesterol

    Shed your extra pounds

    Lower your blood pressure, if you have any

    Take the anxiety and depression syndrome that you might have to the bottom of the scale

    SOME THOUGHTS FOR THE THIRD EDITION

    This is the third edition of the documentary of health through nutrition that goes back for over 45 years. It is a fascinating story and I believe you are going to enjoy and hopefully follow it. Ultimately, you will add many healthy years to your life.

    SOME INTRODUCTORY THOUGHTS

    In the following presentation of my personal story of Health through Nutrition, I do not intend to diagnose, treat or cure anyone from any disease, or prohibit anyone from seeing a medical doctor. To the contrary, you should seek and get the best medical advice and treatment you can find. My personal story is for your information and exposure to a really long researched case study, which is my own personal health story. In fact, it started over 45 years ago and will continue to develop, as you can see it on the website www.natureshealingfoods.com.

    QUESTIONS

    Do you want to get started? Read these questions!! If you answer yes to even one of the questions, keep reading, you will get excited!! Do you feel stressed out? Well, keep reading. I will share my list of comfort foods with you!!! I promise one of these foods, if you eat it when you are stressed out, will help you relax.

    Do you feel tight when you get up in the morning?? Do you feel that you need to have coffee in order to loosen up and get going?? Do you blame it on bad sleep or a bad mattress and box springs? Do you want to fix this problem? Do you want to feel great again when you get up in the morning without any serious exercise? Does your job require you to be alert early in the morning? Do you get up in the morning and sometimes you feel even more tired than when you went to bed?

    Do you want to beat the odds? Do you want better health, more energy, and a more vibrant life? Do you really want to lose weight? Do you want to improve your personal, intimate relationships? Do you want to be less impatient? Do you want to eliminate the medication you take? Do you want to think more clearly? If you go to visit your doctor frequently, do you want to eliminate those visits? Would you like more blood circulation in your body? If your sleep is poor, do you want to enjoy a better night’s sleep? Do you go to the restroom frequently to urinate, and it’s become a problem, and you want to correct it naturally? Do you feel tired and exhausted late in the afternoon and you want to overcome that? Are you confused about nutrition?? And of course there are endless questions that many of us have and cannot find the right answers.

    The questions go on and on. If your situation feels like any that I just described, keep reading. Even if your situation doesn’t fit into one of the categories I described, you should still keep reading.     As you begin your journey through my Documentary of Health through Nutrition, let me tell you that all thoughts, ideas, observations, and research findings were compiled by me, my three administrative assistants, and my family without the help of any kind of professional. So, please be patient because I will present to you, my heart’s desire, as it has evolved over the past 45 years. There will be more information posted there that could not be included in this book.

    WELCOME TO THE BIRTH, EVOLUTION AND PRESENTATION OF MY DOCUMENATRY OF HEALTH THROUGH NUTRITION.

    As I embarked in the process of creating my personal story of Health through Nutrition, my mind went to Hippocrates, the father of western medicine who said, 2500 years ago,

    Let food be thy medicine.

    What a powerful thought that can be used by each one of us even today.

    WARNING

    Many of you sharing in my personal story of Health through Nutrition may be from very far away. You may have your own heart's desire, which could be:

    to expand your knowledge on healing

    to educate yourself on something unique

    to lose weight

    to improve your memory

    to put a stop to your osteoporosis

    to get answers to questions regarding how the universe operates in relation to health

    to lower your blood pressure

    to stop having palpitations

    to increase the level of oxygen in your body

    to get out of the tunnel of depression

    to stop having panic attacks

    to stop anxiety

    to have better blood circulation

    to enjoy a better sex life with your spouse

    to lower your cholesterol

    to have more energy, without drugs and their terrible side effects

    to improve your vision

    to stop constipation

    to breath better and probably eliminate your dependence on an oxygen bottle

    to cut down your medication expenses

    to reverse a particular medical condition

    to start an exercise regimen, not knowing where or how to do it

    to lower your stress level

    Of course, there may be a huge number of other hearts’ desires that are not the purpose of this presentation. However, I am encouraging you to keep reading, because otherwise you may lose a great chance to manifest your own heart’s desire.

    THUS

    Regardless of what you are trying to learn from my personal story of Health through Nutrition, Weight Loss, and Light Exercise, and the fascinating program that came from it, there are three ideas and rules that need to be followed. If not, as Sonia Choquette says in her work, Creating Your Heart's Desire, it won't work for you.

    RULE #1: TRAVEL LIGHTLY

    By this I mean you need to enter the learning process with an open mind. Forget about all your disappointments in the alternative therapy world, if you have had any, as well as any judgments you may currently have. Read my story with an open mind.

    RULE #2: TAKE RESPONSIBILITY

    Take responsibility for your own heart’s desire, for the good of your own health. Nobody is going to do it for you. You have to do it. You have to educate yourself. You need to study the environment that you are in. You must do whatever it takes to accomplish your goal. Remember: Nobody is going to do it for you – NOBODY!!

    RULE #3: DON’T BE A CONTROL FREAK

    By that I mean that you cannot expect a guarantee that it is going to work for you, before you do anything to improve your health. As Sonia says, You cannot expect to eat apples before you plant the seeds. If you want a guarantee before you actually do the work, you will never create anything.

    If you have tried everything there is to fall asleep and nothing has worked, keep reading and I will help you solve this problem. If you use my technique for just a few minutes while lying down to go to sleep, you WILL fall asleep; no tossing and turning again and again.     Each of us has heard horror stories about people falling in showers and in other areas of the house. I will show you a move that anyone can do that will avoid falls. I will show you something simple that I tried while taking a shower during the trying times of 2001 and 2002. You will be amazed! In fact, I came to do this little, but big in meaning, discovery because I had closely observed a large dog standing on top of a tool box on the back of a pickup truck. The driver was going about 60 mph. I pulled my car very close and could not believe my eyes!! The dog wasn’t tied on to anything and yet the forces developed from the speed could not throw the dog out of the back of the truck. When people stand in the back of a truck they hold on to something so that the wind won’t blow them away!! Another observation that I did had to do with infants. Just watch and see how they start walking. Watch how they curl their toes.

    Everything starts with a thought. Big research projects have their initial start from somebody’s momentary thinking. What is going to happen if this takes place today? If this or that is done now, what kind of results are we going to have? Well, I came to one of these moments on November 27, 2001. While my whole family was trying to help my youngest daughter move into an apartment 60 miles away, a thought crossed my mind. I wondered, What effect will it have on my weight if I quit drinking coffee and caffeinated products such as tea, chocolate milk, sodas, etc.?? The next morning I put my hypothesis to work; no coffee or caffeinated products. I had already cut down considerably on my consumption of caffeinated products but I had to see what would happen if I quit completely. The results were no less than spectacular. In just 10 days I lost around 10 pounds!!! How Exciting!!! Later on in this presentation I will share with you a lot of information, many thoughts and observations about losing weight, as well as a lot of research information that will fascinate you!!! So keep reading for some more!!! Today and throughout the past several years there have been many thoughts and ideas about a variety of diet plans and life style changes that aim at fighting excess weight or obesity. A lot of ink has been shed on paper. A lot of talk shows have covered it. Almost every edition of every magazine and newspaper publishes some kind of idea or suggestion for people about how to lose weight. Yet, the obesity rate of Americans is dangerously high!! If you or your loved ones are serious about losing weight, then keep reading.
