    Chapter One

Never in a million years did I think that I would be wearing a two carat diamond on my finger. As I stared into the jewel, watching as the light overhead refracted through the faceted surface, I couldn’t help but be nervous with the fact I was wearing such a thing. The day after, a beautiful cushion cut diamond ring mysteriously showed up on my bed in it’s little velvet box with the explicit instruction to wear at all times. I had been cautiously wearing it ever since. But I didn’t feel like it truly belonged to me. It was gorgeous and I enjoyed the majestic
