I Found My Marbles

When one loses his or her marbles, it is inferred that he or she has lost it all, everything. The sanity, patience, humanity, normalcy, ability to cope and hope is gone. It must be a common occurrence, as I have realized that many, many people have spoken of themselves or someone they know, as having lost their marbles. As a child my mother had asked me Have you lost your marbles?
I thought my mom must have been a little confused. I knew that she knew I never had any marbles to begin with.
My therapist said that she doubted babies are born with depression. She felt perhaps that if it runs in the family, a child might be more prone to get it
from the family crap shoot, (My words not hers). Whether I was born with it or got it from a relative, I believe I was depressed from a very young age. I
