About this ebook

A heart once whole, passes through the forest of life, battered by the joys and sorrows therein. THG StarDragon Publishing is pleased to assist Steven Disney in displaying that whether heterosexual or homosexual, all hearts are the same, and all people desire love. This is the first of Steven Disney's poetic exploits.

This book is not intended for children, due to discussion of sexuality, dark emotions, and alternative lifestyles.

Author

Steven Disney

What to say about the author? Steven lives in Tennessee with his family and two dogs. For the most part he spends his time trying anything that tickles his fancy and figuring out the point of life. He is found fixing up his sailboat or learning to ride his motorcycle. When not conquering the land and the water he is found with a bottle of wine, rum, or absinthe and talking to his precious pups. A love for laughter and constant battle with depression fuels his drive in writing. He hopes that you have enjoyed his works. Currently, he has two collections of poems under his name, with more likely to follow.

    Acknowledgments

There are so many I want to thank for their help. I know that I have been insufferable in the past, and thank you for putting up with each wild hair that tickles me. Shannan, thank you for the bike rides, lending an ear to my ranting, and great adventures. You will always make me smile, and I will be there

for you whenever you need me. Mom and Dad, thank you for seeing me as a person. Though I am not the best child, I try to please. Angel, you have been here for me after all that has happened and helped to keep me sane at some of the worse moments. I hope that I can be a true friend to you as you have I.

Stephanie, I told you I could do it. My Publisher, for taking the chance with my works and helping to promote my voice to the world. To the many others that have inspired, conspired, and perspired, I have to say thank you simply because you were reasons for my creations. I hope that everyone enjoys the various ideas within the pages of this tome. Now then onto the poetry.

    To friendships, and family.

The foolishness of man shows most in the pride for his children. - Me

    Publisher's Note

We are pleased to be presenting the work of Steven Disney to the world. It is a pleasure to be seeing to it that his voice is heard. The messages in this collection are universal, yet from a sector that for long has been difficult to find on the shelves. By assisting this author, we hope that we are assisting others to see that they are not alone. The editing and layout process for this volume was not easy, although the poet sent me a file that was nearly ready to go. The events taking place in life and the desire for another set of eyes more experienced with poetry led me to call on Faith Lindgren-Brown, long time friend and a recent editorial influence.

Meanwhile, I tackled the job of attempting to make the poems fit the pages in the manner requested by the author, although some poems have had to be spread over two pages. In making certain that something is ready to go, over-editing is easy to get swept up in, and something that we hope we have avoided.

Like all poetry, and as the volume title implies, this is a look into the heart of the poet. The poems in this volume are thought provoking, and can be interpreted in a number of ways, the flavor changing with the events that the reader has to draw on. Repeated reading will give increased satisfaction. Some of the poems in this volume contain themes that are not suitable for children. Please use your discretion.
