I glanced at Carlo long enough to see he didn’t quite know how to respond, either. Was she hitting on him right in front of me? Not knowing how to respond, I stuck with “Thank you.”

“Tell me, are flappers as sexually liberated as they say? Do you really go for what you want with no concern for what society may say?”

She was! She was making a move on Carlo, and she wanted me to help her do it! I started to get mad, but it turned me on a little, too.

Carlo cleared his throat uncomfortably. “Ummm, there seems to be some kind of misunderstanding. I’m flattered, but I’m happily married. I’m not looking for any strange on the side, but thank you.”

That earned him a wide smile from me.

Sarah didn’t seem bothered by his rejection. “I understand. That’s why I invited both of you. I’m not looking to split you off from your wife, Carlo. On the contrary. I want both of you.”

My jaw dropped. “Excuse me?”

She turned her high voltage smile on me. “You’re a bright girl, so I’m sure you know exactly what I mean. You’re a vivacious and beautiful woman, and I want to make love to you with no strings attached. I promise. Tomorrow, I’ll go back to New York and you’ll never see me again.”

Her sexy gaze fanned my arousal into a raging bonfire. My body wanted to scream yes. I longed to touch her and kiss those luscious lips.

I turned to Carlo for support, but he was no help. Desire dominated his face and in his pants.

She stood and moved across the room to stand behind me. It startled me when her long hair brushed my cheek as she leaned over me; an erotic teasing sensation I’d used on Carlo in the past. It was far more effective than I’d imagined.
