    The stairway door opened onto a rooftop set up with patio furniture. The elevator was inside an enclosed reception area. It was a very fancy setup with a breathtaking spread of stars spread above them like jewels. With the thin slice of moon just over the horizon, they was enough light to see without screwing up the heavens.

    Lisa eyed the hard stone tiles. “I’d like a little padding, if you don’t mind.”

    Pam laughed. “Quinn has some mattresses in the storage room. We can have a drink while he and Leo get things set up. After all, we should get to know each other a bit, don’t you think?”

    “Won’t people hear us up here?”

    “The people down at the pool probably won’t hear us. If they do, they’ll think it’s someone in a room. Ditto anyone on a balcony. Besides, I’ve always found a hint of exhibitionism to make me hotter. If that’s not your bag, we can move inside, but I’m here to tell you making love under the stars is something special.”

    Lisa shrugged. “As long as we don’t get arrested, I’m game.”

    Pam grinned and nodded. “Perfect. Quinn, why don’t you take Leo and everything set up?” She followed them into the reception area long enough to grab a bottle of wine and two glasses. She filled them, handed one to Lisa, and led them both to a table.

    “Quinn said you and your husband pick up singles to have fun with. If you don’t mind my asking, is that his thing or yours?”

    A sip told Lisa that the red wine wasn’t a cheap vintage. She savored it and eyed the other woman over the rim of her glass. “Mine, originally, but he’s been my willing co-conspirator for ten years. We only do it once a year when we take vacation, so we don’t have any rumors pop up at home. That would be...awkward. You?”

    “Quinn talked me into it, but it can be fun in moderation. I had to ask because we’ve had one couple where the woman was a reluctant participant and there were jealously issues.” She took sip of her wine. “I’ll assume that isn’t a problem with you. Your husband chatted me up pretty good in the bar, so I assume he’s had sex with another woman while you’ve watched.”

    Lisa nodded. “We’re good. I’ve never met anyone else that was into this, though, so that’s a bit weird. I’m used to having to go easy until our partner gets into the swing of things. This is going to be fun.”

    Pam raised her glass. “You bet your ass. And let me tell you, Quinn can light you up like a pinball machine. Fair warning.”

    “I’m already looking forward to it. Leo has his own charms, which I’m sure you’ll enjoy. The man can eat pussy better that I can, and I’m no slouch. God knows enough women have gushed about his tongue.”

    Pam laughed, a bright tinkle of high notes, and set her glass down. “I’m already looking forward to it, but I’ll want to have something to compare it against. Let’s give them some incentive to hurry up.”
