58 years of marriage have gracefully navigated the twists

About the Author
Murray Altham lives in Queensland, Australia. At the height of his career as a fitness instructor more than 10,000 people a year participated in his wildly popular classes. The number of STEP classes he led equalled climbing to the top of the Empire State Building 322 times each year!
He has presented to 1000’s of people about the why and how of looking after your health and the influential echo it has on every area of your life. Choose Excellent Health explores some of the many questions he is asked in presentations and workshops.
Murray finds great pleasure in helping individuals, teams, families and corporations learn that health is the number one thing, that when improved, makes everything else better! He enjoys travel, the beach and continues to dream of inventing the calorie free Tim Tam.

Create an environment where excellence is possible
I had the opportunity to watch 3 interviews with an Olympic gold medallist, a prolific philanthropist and the CEO of one of the world’s great companies. Interestingly, they all said the same thing …To achieve excellence, for a period of time you just need to live in a bubble. Surround yourself with the people, attitudes and resources that support your goals and everything else is outside the bubble
.
Preface
Okay, before we get started … you’ll be pleased to hear my overwhelming strength when it comes to writing this book is that I’m happiest when lying on the sofa, watching great movies, eating my favourite chocolate cake like a hamburger! I also love to take up residence in a great hotel with the remote control and the room service menu … blissed out! I’ve been known to take on a late night box of coco pops, a big bowl and 2 litres of milk (skim milk that is, I convince myself that makes all the difference!). Just in case, my fallback position is a cheese platter. I am an equal opportunity sweet and savoury advocate.
You know those people who are naturally very disciplined, love exercise and prefer a chicken salad over amazing dessert with a chocolate biscuit chaser? That’s not me. I wish it was and I know people who are. I have to be really deliberate about building a case in my own head for being as fit and healthy as possible and to make as many good food choices as often as possible. The good news is it’s easier than you think. Once you get going in the right direction towards optimal health it just takes a bit of reworking your environment, some planning and you’re on your way.
So, congratulations and thank you for investing in this book. By doing so, you are in the top 1% who has chosen to do something proactive to take better care of yourself. You will get fresh insight into making the most of your health and the health of the people you care about.
My working life started as a Chef. In high school, they passed me in Year 10 as long as I promised not to come back! School was not going to be the pathway to my academic credentials and I REALLY love to eat
