About this audiobook

Florence Scovel Shinn, an illustrator living in New York City, became a teacher of New Thought after a divorce. New Thought was a movement which holds the belief that individuals can create their own reality through intentional thoughts and prayer, much like the current Law of Attraction movement.

The Game of Life and How to Play It is her first book, and is remarkable for being written by a woman and meant for a genteel female audience.

This is a wonderful and practical book full of great insight and inspiration. The writings and the writer themselves worthy of 20 ☆s, however I give THIS audio book 3 because of recorded announcements from the publisher at all the beginnings and ends of each chapter.

This book gives what sounds like great biblical wisdom but it speaks nothing of salvation through Jesus Christ. So it seems like the words of Jesus she quotes will Always give prosperity, that is not true. I have to stop listening.

I really dig this book. This is information I am aware of, but I love the way this is written, explained, & especially the “examples”. I recommend everyone read/listen to this & really take heed to the information. ?
