Well interesting storyline and the chasing of the criminals are far more interesting for the investigators and the killer doing its best to get away. The criminal psychopathy unit has been going through a major problem with one of the senior directors who has it in for another chief of the team of profiler whose has been closing cases and putting always the most dangerous serial killer of all time. But special agent Jackson Weller had an enemy within the Federal Bureau of Investigation who does not see things as normal. He is one if the directors and known as Authur Heinlein he has very well, intension to close these units no matter that they have one of the highest closure rates in the FBI.

Authur Heinlein has managed to place the chief of the criminal psychopathy unit on investigation and on leave. So now he is working to close the criminal psychopathy unit for good. By giving them a case that he knows will cause them the team while also using the coroner Dr. Larry Birkin to stall them but unfortunately. Its plans failed because the sheriff had something on the coroner and his son, it led to him doing the job and not stopping the investigations.

After these events failed solving the problem was the best result as the time giving to them was noticeably short. The reason is that he wants them to fail but agent Valerie Law worked the case with the other agents and the local police department until they caught up with the killer.

Valerie and her team are given 48 hours (about 2 days) to solve a serial killer case. The culprit is killing people, and they cannot find a common thread among the victims and the clock is ticking. If they do not solve the case in that period, their unit will be dismantled. After many leads that end up nowhere, they finally identify a positive one that might lead to the killer but at some cost to the team. Delightful story and plot.
