Seemed much shorter than the first book unless I just couldn’t put this one down lol Enjoyed how the story unfolded

Valerie keeps her past hidden from her boyfriend, her partners, and just about anybody else in her life. She is facing a deranged serial killer who is committing ominous crimes making Valerie doubt her capacity to put the killer behind bars. Her past is putting enormous pressure on her and her team feels it. How will she deal with all those issues plus her job?

I am looking forward to reading the next story in this series.
Valerie Law and her partners, Agent Charlie Carlson & Dr Will Cooper, are called to hunt down a serial killer who is trying to make himself be famous. The three work well together and start piecing the clues together. Valerie has things in her past that makes her think she could turn out to be like her mother and sister who are both mentally unstable. She keeps all of this locked up inside not even telling her boyfriend. This book keeps you turning pages until the end. Loved it!

This one had great action and a cool twist, however, there are parts that drag a little too long. Even though it dragged at point it was still a fun read and you understand Val a little bit more. Onto next one

I could not stand the narrator. The book may be a great story but I was unable to get past the narrator’s annoying speech patterns - whispering, questioning delivery.
