I was not a fan of the writing style. The protagonist's internal dialogue, her doubting herself n jumping to conclusions irritated me after a bit. The narrator maybe overdid it w the almost constant desperation in her voice. It wore on me. It wasn't terrible, i just didn't really like it. Sometimes it all just felt very trope-y.
Then again, maybe this book was just not for me right now.
