Amy Branson, 43, from Bridgwater
Bursting through the front door with a blue IKEA bag in tow, I prepared myself for the latest haul of goodies that were going to be laid out in front of me.
With her iconic big bun, false lashes and white Crocs, my daughter Bethany, then 19, had been collecting home essentials and must-haves for weeks on end, slowly getting ready to fly the nest with her friend in November 2022.
So, getting comfortable, me, my hubby Ben, 42, and son Joe, 17, plus the dogs, Maisie and Henry, would then have to sit through seeing what looked like the entire store of IKEA.
And for the last six weeks, it was clear that Bethany was finding her way in the world.
Whether she was volunteering at St Giles Animal Rescue Centre, working full-time, playing rugby with Bridgwater and Albion RFC or working on her agility skills with Maisie, Bethany was a force to be reckoned with.
Loving the rough and tumble of rugby, she’d be the loudest one on the pitch, coming home to show off the huge trophy bruises that she had all over her legs, muddy and soggy from being outside.
With BenBethany was very respectful to him on the pitch, but let’s just say they had heated discussions about certain decisions when coming home!
