This case took me by surprise with the religion aspect of it. Ripley & Ella my dynamic duo was working the case together and Ella was able to catch the guy single handed, although he did have those ladies going round and round on motive and suspects.

Another case closed by them woohoo what’s interesting for me was her personal life. Ella needs to fight the darkness within with some light I don’t want her to push away the good things hopefully she learns that sooner than Ripley did with the career there, in. Ella love life came to an end in the last book or so we thought. One night while away in the case she typed a message him to him only to delete and not send well Ben was in the chat earlier and I guess stayed on but showed offline and saw her typing with no message received on his end.

The very last day of the case when they are about to get home, he sends Ella a message and she shows up to his place. I’m glad they talked but I do want to know more about that conversation. In the last book Ella found a lead about her dad which turned out to be a dead end which was not so much a dead end she made a friend in the man who owns the building. Through this unseen friendship she goes back, and they are fishing he ask about her father, and she tells him back to square one while looking at the items she discovered from the locked box. The man was able to help Ella find out all the items were made at the same place so when she looked it up the place seemed to be shut down.

Once she got to the site it was an abandoned workshop. It wasn’t until Ella thought she was alone that an older man came out and he knew who she was and all he could say was I can show you better than I can tell you pretty much and then book chapter over book ends. I am left on this huge cliff hanger like what is she going to see I need to know just as badly as Ella does at this point. I am not so much interested in the next case but more so looking to what is going to happen in her personal life cause things are starting to get more interesting.
