About this audiobook

Is he dead — or out looking for wife number three?

The first part went like this: Five years ago I was working a late-night shift at Over Easy when Ledger Stone walked in. He looked straight into my eyes and never looked away.

We got married. We were blessed with two beautiful twins. We didn’t have a lot of money but life was good.

Then the call comes. Ledger’s truck crashed through the guardrail and plummeted down into a ravine. They’re saying there’s no way he could have survived. But why can’t they find his body?

And now there’s a woman at my door. She says she’s Ledger’s wife. He was Henry when he was married to her — until he died in a devastating truck accident.

My husband is my rock. My whole life. And the kids want their dad back.

But if he’s alive, then is our whole marriage a lie?

Perfect for fans of Freida McFadden, Jeneva Rose, Colleen Hoover and Keri Beevis.

Please note this is a revised edition of The Wife Lie.

The story was nice, easy to follow, but I felt a bit disappointed at the predictability and the lack of thrill in this “psychological thriller”.

This book is so bad. It’s seven hours of this whiny lady who has major, major attachment issues with her children- and she tells you how much she’s gladly die for their love over and over and over and over like she’s trying to convince herself or something. And then there’s the husband. She can’t stop talking about the love for him she has either- over and over and over and over. That’s all this book is. Then it all buttons right up because of course it does. In one of the last chapters she was starting to talk about her “love for her husband” AGAIN and I couldn’t take it. I skipped to the end so I could leave this review to warn people to not waste their time with this pointless, boring, irritating book.

Súper boring book, so overly dramatic and cheesy. I couldn’t even listen to the last three chapters, just too much .

    Get. To. The. Point!!
Great start then the details are painstaking. We want to know what happened. Not their whole backstory.

Overall, this book is not great. It drags on and on, it's disgustingly cheesy, and I am a person who loves cheesy. It could have been an interesting plot, but chapter after chapter it says the same thing over and over. The twists are so obvious that you know them well before they are revealed. I ended up listening to it at a faster speed to get it over with, and at the end, I just fast forward the last chapter. I would recommend to skip this novel, I feel bad for leaving a bad review but feel that this book needed it.
