HER LAST CHANCE: Very good as always

Another great example of why I buy everything this author writes. He gives you enough of a direction to guess what may be the way he is going, but not enough to say I know how it will end. And always something, a plot twist, to make you want to start the next one immediately and answer the question you have as to how the heck that happened. I just want Rachel to tell everyone.
Her Last Hope: I enjoyed this book almost as much as the first two. Perhaps if it was a hard copy instead of an audiobook I would have given it 5 stars. I found myself a bit distracted at a few points as the audio voices didn't match the character speaking. The story itself was pretty intense and once again I was finding myself eager to find time to be alone so I could finish the book. The character development is done extremely well. I find myself with empathy for some, angry at others, in disbelief at some, laughing at some, rooting & cheering, etc. When a writer can draw me into a book and I can feel that deeply for the characters, I know they have done their job even if it means I can't stand a character.
