Lauren Smith will always grab your attention with her stories. This one is no different. Lots of mystery, suspense, and love. This is a short one but worth every penny. The heroine is Blair. The hero is Denver.

A delicious quick read with wonderful characters & a stunning location. I loved the chemistry between Denver & Blair apparent from their first meeting when he didn’t know who she was. It was electric. They fell in lust but it grew into respect & love but Denver needed to let go of the past. Secondary characters also had depth, I would have loved the wicked uncle to get more of a comeuppance. Whilst I’m not a lover of billionaire romances I do love the author’s books & this was no exception.

Denver and Blair meet when Blair needs to prove something to her uncle. Her uncle told her if she wants something that is part of the family she has to convince a company to sign with them.

I'm fairly new to Lauren Smith, but I'm really enjoying all of her books so far. This is on the short side, so it's the perfect quick listen. This Billionaire hotel developer, enemy of the family, forbidden, fake engagement romance was well written with a good pace. The instalove was believable and performances by John Lane and Stella Hunter really sealed the 5-stars for me.

Ok. The story was a nice, quick read. Not bad. The male narrator sounded like the guy off of the movie, The Age of Addeline. It was terrible with the movie. Too intense for the story like this guy. Actually, he also sounds like a radio story teller from the 1930s lol. I can't be the only one here. I felt like I needed to brace myself for a big moment. :-D. Now I hear him calling out plays during their romp. Wow.
