HATED THIS. I’m all for an alpha male and even a dom. But, this book glorifies rape and abuse. The female is a victim rather than someone willingly agreeing to the force. She is human trafficked and has no say or choice. She is sexually assaulted and abused by the ‘hero,’ his brother, and his mother. This book is disgusting. The whole series should be banned.

Michael should be a sports announcer, boy he had me all amped up a lot with the way he was speaking! Lol Imteresting story though.

I couldn't stop listening to this and sacrificed my sleep, going to work absolutely shattered.
I do feel guilty for enjoying such a dark and twisted story, but that's a testament to the authors excellent writing and superb dialogue.
The story may be one of extreme abuse, but the victim is a strong heroine who didn't allow her abusers to break her. The build up of tension was intense. I shouted at my laptop many times begging Helenor not to take a certain action, but was impressed with her when she had the balls to do so! This was an interesting story and shows us the horror's of this world and the evil of men. I appreciate a good cliff-hanger, but lucky for me I can listen to the next instalment right away! I hope that the next book is as good as this one, as a lot of series usually run out of steam.
Both narrator's were fabulous although Pauley sounded slightly congested, but I didn't mind that :-D

This book made me very uncomfortable.. very cringy.. There's no heros. It tells women that if you have money and are attractive its ok to be treated like trash, sexually and physically abused. Sebastian is a HORRIBLE person. Just rape and abuse from everyone even her own family that sold her to predators as "family tradition". I listened to the end hoping that it would get better and she could stand up for herself but no luck.

This was quite a good story!! I enjoyed it very much!!! The story had lots of twists and turn sand I am anxious to listen to book 2. Interesting plot with lots of characters, narration great and hot sex scenes!
