- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5It truly is set up like a field book. Some of the observation points are pretty obvious, some are intuitive but most are ah-hah moments. It's a fun and useful read
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Arrived as expected. Very interesting read, still reading it , not finished yet. I would have loved illustrations but that’s just me
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Fascinating little book describing a vast assortment of things that can be unconsciously communicated through our movements and expressions. Based on Western world people behaviour (concretely US citizens), but it includes some interesting notes about certain variations in other cultures. Besides, much of it refers to automatic responses, which tend to be universal.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5The book is well-organized, so you can find specific nonverbals easily. Like a word dictionary, it's a comprehensive listing of short explanations of a huge range of nonverbals.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This is the perfect size to put in a briefcase or purse (see photo) so you can easily carry it with you when you travel or are going to a meeting and want to prep beforehand on nonverbal signals to look for...
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5The book is as dry as a standard reference manual, useful without being particularly interesting. I highlighted some pieces that I can see using ongoing, but I was just a little disappointed in the book relative to my own expectations.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I highly recommend his way of identifying what people do to get away with in life. All the years of experience he has in the field and in the office setting makes him a professional in his own right. I have learned tons of information from Joe. Whenever he has books out. I will be sure to be the first one to get it and read and learn from it. Thanks, Joe. Keep up the great work.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5People complain there is no story . This is an excellent reference (dictionary) of body language. Please listen the book description before writing a review.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I read it hoping for new insights...and there were a few. However, most are what I would imagine most of humanity would pick up on. It is a great little desk reference for the dedicated learner or people who actually really need help with understanding nonverbals
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I love that he gives options on what body language signs usually mean and can mean. For instance, I am a visual learner and I may not make eye contact because I am watching a movie in my mind recalling details as I tell a story. This doesn't indicate that I am lying. But, often not making eye contact can indicate lying.
