I liked the first book in the series but the plot of the second was too convoluted. It was like watching Donald Trump double talking and denying proven facts. Aunt Pearl could be entertaining but crossed the line into frustrating and annoying.
The narration is good. Since I liked the first book, I’m going to move onto the third book to see if the author can bring it back around.

A funny cozy mystery that has Cendrine being roped into a crazy scheme her Aunt Pearl has cooked up. A close friend of Aunt Pearl has died and she happens to be a member of a Las Vegas crime syndicate. Cendrine, with her mom and Aunt Pearl, try to figure out who killed Pearl’s friend. Witches and crime bosses don’t mix.
