The narrator has a monotone way of reading, and I found it hard to get invested in the story when the narrator was so expressionless and flat. Even fight/action storylines felt boring with the robotic description of events. Not sure whether I'd enjoy it more if a different narrator had been selected; so I'll try to find a written version so I can read it myself and see whether the characters feel more alive than the ones I just finished listening to.
