About this audiobook

In the spellbinding sequel to Blood Like Magic, Voya fights to save her witch community from a terrible future in this “poignant, smart, and wholly unique” (Tracy Deonn, New York Times bestselling author of Legendborn) novel that’s perfect for fans of Legendborn and Cemetery Boys.

Voya Thomas may have passed her Calling to become a full-fledged witch, but the cost was higher than she’d ever imagined.

Her grandmother is gone.
Her cousin hates her.
And her family doesn’t believe that she has what it takes to lead them.

What’s more, Voya can’t let go of her feelings for Luc, sponsor son of the genius billionaire Justin Tremblay—the man that Luc believes Voya killed. Consequently, Luc wants nothing to do with her. Even her own ancestors seem to have lost faith in her. Every day Voya begs for their guidance, but her calls go unanswered.

As Voya struggles to convince everyone—herself included—that she can be a good Matriarch, she has a vision of a terrifying, deadly future. A vision that would spell the end of the Toronto witches. With a newfound sense of purpose, Voya must do whatever it takes to bring her shattered community together and stop what's coming for them before it’s too late.

Even if it means taking down the boy she loves—who might be the mastermind behind the coming devastation.

I really didn’t want the story to end. Happy the ending was so satisfying. I caught myself many times just smiling along with the characters as they triumphed lol

These two books are amazing, and the narrator is extremely good at this. Honestly among some of the best books I've read in the past few years, and I've read something like 210+ books in the past two.

Such a fabulous sequel! Full of the same rich characters who are flawed but who love and who live their lives the best they can. A wonderful follow up to the first installment!

What a ride! This one had more action in it & I enjoyed that aspect.
I didn't understand everything that went on but it was still bomb.
This was a blend of sci fi and fantasy & i feel like I haven't read a book like that in some time. Very grateful this book exists! This was a great finale. Can't lie, i wouldn't mind novels based off of other characters.

I loved the first on the series and I loved this sequel, too! Several times I wasn't sure where the story would go.

I loved the book but the listening was bad. While sections were cut out over and over. The narration was great if I could have heard the whole thing. I gave the book 5 stars but this copy was not up to par.

    I LOVED this!

I'm still pulled in by the Caribbean aspect of the story. I like being able to connect to characters in this way. It didn't exactly go as I suspected it would but I'm not surprised by the twists in the story. It made so much sense. Except Eli. I didn't see him and EVERYTHING surrounding him coming AT ALL.

Left my review for the book on the visual copy but I just want to say that on top of the amazing author and her writing the voice actor is the best. She did an amazing job for both books. Loved it and she’s a huge reason why.
