About this audiobook

A Pretty Woman tale turns toxic and deadly in this provocative thriller of sex, obsession, and murder from Robyn Harding, the “master of domestic suspense” (Kathleen Barber) and the USA TODAY bestselling author of The Swap and Her Pretty Face.

Natalie, a young art student in New York City, is struggling to pay her bills when a friend makes a suggestion: Why not go online and find a sugar daddy—a wealthy, older man who will pay her for dates and even give her a monthly allowance? Lots of girls do it, Nat learns. All that’s required is to look pretty and hang on his every word. Sexual favors are optional.

Though more than thirty years her senior, Gabe, a handsome corporate finance attorney, seems like the perfect candidate, and within a month, they are madly in love. At least, Nat is…Gabe already has a family, whom he has no intention of leaving.

So when he abruptly ends things, Nat can’t let go. But Gabe’s not about to let his sugar baby destroy his perfect life. What was supposed to be a mutually beneficial arrangement devolves into a nightmare of deception, obsession, and, when a body is found near Gabe’s posh Upper East Side apartment, murder.

Emotionally powerful and packed with page-turning suspense, The Arrangement delves into the sordid, all-too-real world of shadowy relationships between wealthy, powerful men and the young women who are caught in their web.

Nat Murphy is a struggling art student. A friend offers her a solution to her money troubles, get a sugar daddy. Things don't work out as planned and go horribly wrong. I really enjoyed the first part of the book. I enjoyed following Nat and seeing how things progressed for her. The premise of the story I found very different and wanted to see how things worked out.The last quarter of the book I didn't enjoy. I felt it was very flawed and also very rushed. The big twist was predictable and by this point I had stopped caring. Nat as a character I liked and felt for but as the story progressed I changed my mind and found her quite annoying. I really wanted to love this book and was excited to read it. I felt really disappointed at the end but feel it still deserves three stars as I enjoyed the bulk of the story.

I love this writer. I have a hard time putting it down. While there aren’t tons of thrills and chills there is just something about the writing style that pulls me in and keeps me so very interested. Recommend all Robyn’s books!

It took me a minute to get into it but once I let it keep going, I had to finish. It's usually figure out the who done it pretty quickly. While I did figure it out about 3/4th the way through, it still left a lot of surprises. I will def be reading another one of her books!

This book was really good. Thought I had it all figured out three different times and then I was wrong. Laughed, was shocked and related to the characters. All around great!

Pretty predictable but enjoyable. Thought it would be more of a romance novel but more drama.

Gripping story with greatly unexpected forks in the literary labyrinth. Impressive character development, as the heroine evolves from ingenue to obsessive, calculating sociopath in her descent into anger, and madness.

“Daddy, I shot someone.” Who couldn’t love a book that starts off like that? This was another great book by this author. The narrator was wonderful too. You kinda think you know then you question yourself, well maybe I don’t know. All the way to the end.

Another great book by this talented author. Now I am looking up her other books. I’m going to read all of them! This is my second book of hers. She has become one of my favorites. And you got a love her twisty mind!

The author has a gift for painting an entire picture and forming real characters without over-doing it. The characters were all relatable and like able, making the amazing twists seem more shocking than one would expect. The ending was not entirely surprising, but only after 56 of the 58 chapters.
I had never read anything by this author before, but I will be on the lookout for her other titles.

Came & stayed for the drama. Once you hit the middle, you won't want to stop. Absolutely nothing wrong with my narrator, just not my favorite.

This story had intrigue, scandal, high stakes and murder. What’s not to like? Definitely rooted for different people throughout, and the story had plenty of twists to keep things interesting. Kept me on my toes and made me turning pages.

I thought this book was a great read. Entertaining to the very end. I did want to strangle and profusely shake the lead character repeatedly, but aside from that, I loved it. People always talk about “figuring it out” which is not my main focus, but with that said, I DID figure it out pretty quickly. I enjoyed this book and would definitely recommend it.
