About this audiobook
In 2006, a groundbreaking feature-length film revealed the great mystery of the universe—The Secret—and, later that year, Rhonda Byrne followed with a book that became a worldwide bestseller.
Fragments of a Great Secret have been found in the oral traditions, in literature, in religions, and philosophies throughout the centuries. For the first time, all the pieces of The Secret come together in an incredible revelation that will be life-transforming for all who experience it.
In this book, you’ll learn how to use The Secret in every aspect of your life—money, health, relationships, happiness, and in every interaction you have in the world. You’ll begin to understand the hidden, untapped power that’s within you, and this revelation can bring joy to every aspect of your life.
The Secret contains wisdom from modern-day teachers—men and women who have used it to achieve health, wealth, and happiness. By applying the knowledge of The Secret, they bring to light compelling stories of eradicating disease, acquiring massive wealth, overcoming obstacles, and achieving what many would regard as impossible.

- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5You are poor, is your fault, you got cancer? Is your fault. You have a bad life? Is your fault. You got COVID and died? Is your fault. You got fired from your job, is your fault. You took a shit and the water splashes in your ass… well, you guessed it.. is your damn fault. The idea of this book is totally nonsense. It makes you believe that all the issues that you have today are because you attracted them into your life (including sickness) Give me a break! And they claim that Jesus taught us about this “law of attraction” No he did not, stop misusing the scriptures. When he said “whatever you ask will, be given to you” he meant ask in prayer to God, and if it goes in accordance to his law, then he will bless you with it. This book is designed to take you away from the idea of God. It can not be combined together. Two different beliefs. This book is totally wrong. And for those who voted 5 stars… well, put it to the test. It won’t work. Is a fantasy.

- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5The entire book can be written in two sentences: think positively and you're more open to good things happening to you. Be negative and you attract negative energy. Seriousy, that is the entire book - common sense and waffle. Now you don't need to bother with it!

- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5The basic idea was pretty good, the added hokiness got on my nerves. I listened to the audio & watched the damn movie to.
Its good to always try and stay positive and the method described is useful if you keep focused regularly.
But man the way she goes about putting her ideas...and if u sit through the audiobook. That music. Pandering.
Giving it 3 because I do believe that the basic idea is worth the result, though materialism is not something I would encourage or relate to, other than in the most simplest of senses.2 people found this helpful
- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5The adult version of the Jiminy Cricket Song of Walt Disney cartoon fame. Apparently those who don't have their dream life already simply aren't thinking hard enough about it and therefore haven't manifested it. Apparently were all our own Gods, and we can each have everything we want without getting in one another's way. That aspect isn't as discussed as manifesting what we ourselves want, which seems to be the spiritual quest here. The gift or skill doesn't seem to extend to manifesting universal brotherly love or world peace so much as just getting material things-- love and romance and so on. It's apparently a secret known only to a few that has been passed down through the generations to the spiritually enlightened Elite . Maybe like the Freemasons' secret knowledge, or somebody actually found the Golden Fleece and just didn't share. And this one person managed to find it just in time to save us all and make some money by selling the book about it instead of announcing it on the 8 p.m. news. I find that aspect a little puzzling too, because if we can all have what we want without doing each other any harm, what's the problem with everyone learning about it all at once? It's hard for me to even judge the writing, because the premise is so absurd. I hate that kind of annoying grown up mind gaming, especially when money changes hands as part of the game. Show me the evidence and explain to me why it can be that small children who have no trouble believing in just about anything aren't already manifesting everything they want and need through just being told ..." Think hard, Joey! Just imagine you have it and you will." Oh wait: That's Jiminy Cricket's line. " When You Wish Upon a Star', makes no difference Who You Are..."

- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5This is nothing more than a marketing ploy of the author. In fact these are not even her original ideas but merely her interpretation of The Science of Getting Rich by Wallace Wallace. That is so much more helpful and inspiring than this copycat.

- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5This is completely different from what I was expecting. I had hoped this to be a regular self-help book or a philosophy book, but it never felt like belonging to either of the two. For me, it felt like a concoction of self-help, spirituality, psychology, philosophy and a little bit of business too. It's basically pretty common sense, what you think about and talk about the most is what you get more of. Where the attention goes, the energy flows. If you constantly talk about being broke, or sick, or depressed, then that's what you will get. Even if your bank account, health, or mental disposition is not currently where you'd like for it to be, you completely have the power to take one little step at a time in the right direction. No matter how adverse a situation gets, surely there must be something that makes you happy, something that you are essentially grateful for -- Awesome friends and family, loving pets, a roof over your head, a kick ass music collection, etc. Maybe you can't control everything that others do or say, but you really truly can choose your reaction, you really truly can choose how you want to feel and even though we all face challenges, we can decide to do the best we can with what we've got at any given moment. The secret kind of distills a lot of really heavy but totally useful info compiled from esoteric spiritual and scientific texts into a simplified, easy to practice formula. You get what you think about!

Things haven’t been so good for me in the last couple of years. Someone reminded me of this book and I started listening to it and I’m starting to think and feel better.

- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5I heard a joke once that a man published a 20 page book book titled, "How to become a millionaire." His book had only two pages with print on them. The first page said that one needs to believe in his genius all 18 pages in the middle repeated the same statement, "I will prove it. Believe me". The last page said, " Print 1 million books with a similar title for 10 cents in china, at least 5 million westerner idiots like you will buy it for 10 dollars."
By the way, I did not fall for it...1 person found this helpful

- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5I watched the film "The Secret, Dare to Dream" and loved it! I noticed it said it was based on the concepts in this book. So I was excited to listen to this audiobook. But, I was quite disappointed! I agree that being grateful and thinking positively can influence your life for the better. But this book takes that to a ridiculous level, suggesting that if bad things happen to you it's your own fault, because you are attracting bad things to yourself and that if you wish and expect good things, then literally only good things will happen to you. This book is just telling you something you will naturally want to be true: That the universe will give you everything you want, if you just imagine it. But don't get sucked into believing something just because you want it to be true.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Walk .. this book is a revelation that a lot of us know in our core or everyone would love to believe, but just don’t have enough faith to believe. For those who believe the possibilities are endless in life this is the book waiting to reveal the means and those who are doubtful they may just start believing & eventually start experiencing magic in life.
What an experience, my life Will not be the same again.1 person found this helpful
